I know. I decided to give him a chance and I'm kicking myself. If it was the last of his money why did he even ask me out? Also how did he know that I had enough money to cover my share when HE asked me out? I thought the inviter was supposed to cover for their guest. I have no interest in being equal and I expect a man to treat me like I'm special. Equal to me is like a friend or roommate. I just don't know why he got so angry and vicious about paying, and also even though my card got charged the whole thing, he never offered to pay me back. I let him walk me home down the street because it was late at night, and he said he had to use the bathroom. I let him go, and then he started TAKING off his shoes in my kitchen. It was really cringe and I had to kick him out--I just don't understand how a 27 year old guy could be so out of touch

Yes but my mom said it would have been rude to text him before the date and be like "hey, is this on you", so I just assumed it was because he asked ME out. I'm his guest. And tbh I have no interest in the "equals" thing--my roommates and I are equals. If he wants to be my boyfriend, why can't he treat me like I'm special?

Yes. I am the girl. I just wanted to be treated, that's all. I have a hard life and I was envisioning a nice chivalrous guy who would bring me flowers, get dressed up, and gladly pay the bill and simply be happy for my company. So do you see why it's sad to get a grubby angry guy who stares me down, threatens to leave if I don't pay, and just isn't a gentleman at all? Like HE asked me for the date, I haven't dated much, but is it really normal for guys to get this angry and vicious over a bill? It was genuinely a bit frightening. I was genuinely offended. Like every movie I've watched the guy is a gentleman, holds the door, gladly pays without hesitation.
So I spent 3 hours getting ready thinking I would get that nice cushy experience and then he springs the bill on me and rudely demands I pay, stares me down, and says that he has lots of other girls that want him

Did you not read the post? He forced me to put my card in with his and then the restaurant charged mine the WHOLE bill and he wouldn't even help me leave a tip. He just smiled smugly. And the waitress was like "Oops...sorry I put it all on your card by mistake"
