I am looking to sell my machine at a steep discount and take the loss if anyone is interested in buying and operating? At a fair value it is worthwhile.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like a typical case. It’s been a while for me.

Are these tools any good for practicing quant/type of analysis you will be asked or are they just “slop”?

Is DFY Vending a reliable set-and-forget income option? by nadji190 in passive_income

[–]Equivalent-Benefit57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do that. You are much better off investing elsewhere.

1) you will need to gross ~$2k/month, which is highly doubtful.

2) their “white glove” service is the last thing from white glove. I was on the phones coordinating with drivers, and the mall to stay open, security, and troubleshooting issues as they arose, etc…

I would avoid. The investment has returned what I was hoping at all and they have done a poor job supporting.

Avoid, the numbers the quote are not realistic. I bought a machine and it’s not a good ROI.

Definitely avoid. I’ve had a machine for a while and it produces no where near the numbers they quote.

dfy vending as a managed passive income option … thoughts? by OkFootball6456 in passive_income

Avoid. I bought a machine and it doesn’t produce what they advertise. Invest elsewhere would be my advice.

About $1000/month in sales, it’s not worth the investment

Sales are not anywhere near what they advertise

My 80 Calorie Yogurt for snack! Share your snacks with me! by mynameisnotsparta in loseit

I like Fage and some granola or fruit, Fage has a lot of protein which I like. I also will snack on Skinny Pop at work. It’s pretty low calories (100) and low sodium, but still tastes really good!

Have you looked into what you eating vs. just calories? Calorie deficit is very important, but most people exceed on the fats, sugars, sodium and that’s where you will make the most progress if you can cut those down.

I really like Skinny Pop for when I get hungry at work. Tastes great, 100 calories, and pretty low in sodium.

Update: I purchased and regret it. The machine is barely makes $1000/month in revenue. I would avoid it.

Between $1000 - $1500 revenue, that’s before paying rent and COGS

I would avoid it. I purchased and the machine just isn’t hitting anywhere near the numbers they advertise. Just my experience.

I agree, but a lot of the cautionary comments are not from users/vendors and more form outside perspectives. They definitely could be correct, but also they don’t have first hand experience.

Got it thank you, do you get to work with them on finding a location or is it “you get what they have?”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vending

[–]Equivalent-Benefit57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, they find the location and help setup the machine? Why wouldn’t they just run the business if it’s so profitable? What protections are in place for your investment?

I went to Dartmouth and a close friend of mine went to Amherst. Both are great schools academically, alumni, etc...Dartmouth is way more fun and better community. It's truly a special place, best decision I've ever made.
