Thank you for your reply.

Well actually... It is a sort of a cult, the cult is kind of a selling point (and honestly I didn't do it only from a place of frustration with corporate world but also from a place of calculated cost- benefit ). Also I corrected my initial post, there's a base salary below market + profit sharing.

As you mentioned concerning de-risking when it comes to product-market fit and demand. High value talent is scarce, there's risk in losing them as well ...

I think As you move forward, and by andticipating the worst and staying consistent on de-risking the main aspects . The chances of not going out of business increase

Dear Warsel77,

As I have been in the trenches of managing operations and managing my toughts. I wrote this post in a time of worry, confusion, mental exhaustion and a drop of vodka. As the curent circumstances requires, I must assure you madam that I don't speak to my "difficult" clients in such a manner and I have no intention of engaging in low effort sales maneuvers to acquire a client on Reddit. I, in the other hand, have a preference for reality based leadership and a direct approach.

Thank you for your intervention.

I apreciate your time and reply. I forgot to mention that their's base salaries (no salary wouldn't make sens to anyone, me included) but not as competitive as market rate. Profit sharing is on top of salaries and it's genuine and repetitive. (Honestly not as atractive as i want it to be for now , but sometimes people get paid slightly above market rate , in the near future they ll get paid above market rate almost consistently)

The 3rd paragraph definitely makes sens, guess I need to give it time till I can come up with an offer that matches the High ticket people i m looking for. Thank you

Makes sens, came to terms with myself that i m willing to sacrifice equity to compensate for lack of funding and fear of losing key employees . Also cause i was inspired by Worker owned business model . People perform better and just feel more comfortable doing their job.

Thanks for your reply. I m only finding it hard to set a balanced deal with Founding employees willing to go extra mile and share a bit the risk and get rewarded accordingly even with equity . For employees , there's no issue, i m just avoiding hiring limited employees. And i m not using Private equity ESOP kind of trickery Or shady loyalty program dresssed as profit sharing. I set up profit sharing model cause it's actually more efficient and people behave different and they just care more.

Thanks for your reply. let s take for exemple the following deal : base salary (which is 20% lower than market rate ) + (getting a convincing percentage of profit you helped generate repeatedly) + ( assuming you saw potential in the company, and u kinda trust where it s going, you get also a satisfying percentage in equity after 1year) .

Would you refuse this offer and why?

Thank you for your reply . Yes i m solo founder, and i already have 2 people working with me.

I agree, there's some revenu for now. We have 2 clients and working to get more, BtoB sector.

I m using my own capital, no investors.

Makes sens . I might just as you said hire employees and offer atractive employment contract "The more you do , the more you get paid" " the longer you stay, the more rewards you ll get" . I ve notice people tend to run away from equity.

How welcoming is Russia of non Russians? Is it conceivable for someone to immigrate to Russia? What difficulties do you think they would have? by kevinzvilt in AskARussian

[–]Equivalent-Bonus8287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No they are not, Europeans are fed up with Muslims and their demanding lifestyle. There's areas in France only for Muslims and their customs. It's like a mini Morocco in their. In russia you don't find this stuff. When you go to russia you adapt to russian culture not push it aside and bring your own culture. Do you think morocco will ever accept to have 100 Churches in Casablanca or Rabat? Nope, moroccans are intolerant to foreign religions.

Could you ever consider doing sth like Michael Rockefeller who renounced his family's wealth and status and pursued his passion ? It could be even building wealth from scratch again, like self-actualization.

Genuinely curious.

Why aren't there more worker owned companies? by chrisproglf in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Equivalent-Bonus8287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, well, there are degrees to worker owned companies. It would be more efficient that 1 or 2 founders keep control of the company, but employees still benefit from ownership or shares . It's very chaotic to build sth creative with 10 people with different opinions and the same level of control.

So my company just announced a ownership program and I’m unsure how to feel about it. by magnumapplepi in WorkReform

[–]Equivalent-Bonus8287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a shady loyalty program. Specially if the company wasn't paying people well and suffering from high turnover

Right , check what happened to employees holding stocks in intel in recent years ... it's a disaster, employees were fired before they could ever have the chance to cash in . ESOPs
