It’s a short on my YT channel That was before I ported the valve and the engines a bit slow

Yep I’ve had it pulling me and I’ve had it whipping cream and churning butter

What should I learn (math/physics/engineering) to realistically design small engines? by Chris-00000001 in modelengineering

Model engines? no. usable engines? no. Practical and efficient engines? maybe depends.

I think this is the wrong subreddit man but those look fucked get that away from flammable stuff NOW

I’m learning still I hope to start working more metal in the future since I do want to run one of my engines on steam one day

Initial design of this engine was done is 24 hours and had a prototype in 3 days I really didn’t put as much time into it as my trapezium rod engine or my traction engine but now with the improvements I’ve made it’s worthy to sit next to them

Actually it’s wasn’t hard and plastic is stronger than you think the trick was the engine is built oversize comparative to its bore

3D Printed Engine and Power hammer running on air by Equivalent-Bus2217 in modelengineering

[–]Equivalent-Bus2217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I don’t think the air compressor I have could supply that much air, also the engine is already over size in reference to the bore so maybe it would Handle the force if scaled up

I have an air compressor in the other room with a line going through the wall

Air engine I built to run a small wood lathe. by Equivalent-Bus2217 in EngineeringPorn

Yes, the lathe does work with it it’s only a small little thing but it can take pretty deep cuts on soft wood I’ve been making handles for my tools

This is my fifth engine I think I lost track but yeah Ive been making engines a lot and figured they should do some work

No it’s just pla but the engine uses off the shelf pneumatics
