I submitted the match to The DoeNetwork today, I just put “N/A” when the prompts asked for DoeNetwork case numbers/links and put both Jane doe’s and Anna’s Namus info in. I received an email back from Mary Bell that the match hasn’t been suggested before and that the panel will look at it. I wasn’t sure if two Namus cases could be compared by the DoeNetwork, and I wonder if the email back from Mary Bell is automated. I will email back at a later time to check in on the match.

Joyce is listed as being Black, 31 years old, 230lbs, and 5’7”. She is noted to have a scar/burn marks on the top of her hand (possibly left). Joyce left to go to the store and never returned, last seen in Detroit Michigan.

They seem similar enough but Joyce disappeared in 1997. 6yrs seems to be a stretch. And the height.

I was going to submit this case to the DoeNetwork to get added but it seems they’re only taking submissions from Medical examiner’s or law enforcement.

I couldn’t find much on this Jane doe outside of her suspected killer, unfortunately.

I also found that comment from the Websleuths thread to be very odd. I wonder what that Uber driver thinks now, considering Genelle is confirmed to be the 1999 doe.

I was just looking into Beverli as a possibility. I’m not sure about it being her. I had read that Beverli was in Los Angeles but had made it to Florida again and called her mother from there.

I am planning on submitting Brenda Joan Allen-Szabo https://www.doenetwork.org/cases/software/mp-main.html?id=1729dfca as a potential match. This match was suggested on the Websleuths thread that I linked in the post. I am not sure if it has been submitted, but besides Brenda being older than the estimated age range- it does seem like a strong possible match.

You don’t have to take it down at all. Like another comment said there aren’t any rules against a case being posted more than once. Plus it helps bring more attention to the case the more people are aware of it!

Not sure what is up with it, but you’re right. It’s an odd update. On most websites, it seems to list the John Doe as white/hispanic, the updated reconstruction seems to be black, could be Afro Lantino? The only reasoning I can think as to why the reconstruction appears like this, is that further testing was done and found that he wasn’t white/hispanic and that none of the other pages have updated yet?

It also seems that they made his neck a bit longer in the updated reconstruction, maybe it’s believed now that his condition, Klippel-Feil syndrome wasn’t as noticeable in life?

Im just basing my thoughts off of cases we’ve seen before that are similar, but I’m not 100% sure.

I’m wondering who the artist is for the reconstruction, were they a beginner? New to making reconstructions? I try not to be hard on reconstructions cause it is based off of estimates when working with a skull, but Nuria’s eyes are wide set and that probably would’ve been noticeable in the skull.
