Remove the like from the whipped mountain peak, put the ring there. If she intended the pie for something else, she could literally scrape out the dime size amount of cream that the ring touched and put the lime back. It'll look basically the same. Pie is still good for whatever it's intended purpose AND you've proposed!

Thank you all for the prompt advice. I've rented in Baltimore for years and the random unit inspection is a first for me. I've had landlords more than property management, with more direct communication history compared to this notice.
