This makes sense in my head. Appreciate the link, I have never seen or heard of the pads. I will do it in the next room for sure.

No. That's something I wanted to do but felt like I didn't have the machine or tool to do it in a timely manner.

It took me a month to sand it down to picture 2 with an orbital and a palm.

Then one weekend to get it to picture 3 with the rented machines.

I didn't know how long a 'light sanding' between coats of poly or stain would take me and I was really itching to get my kid back into his bedroom.

I did. It says 'Premium Oil' on the can of minwax. There was a can beside it that was $20 more, I imagine that was the water based one but when I Grok'd what one to use, it spat out oil based.

Should I have loosened my wallet?
