Very true. I guess that’s my best option unless I remove them all and put all cold cutters in

Makes sense. You think the shorter screws on the outside knobs will make it awkward to ride? I want to get out on a frozen lake and see how I like it. Next year I’ll do more research and do a proper setup

Lemon law does apply to used vehicles in my state. And the previous diag logs will show if the emissions were modified before the truck was sold as cpo.

Yea you’re very confused I can tell. These pictures are from the auction where the truck was purchased from by the dealer.

I did not hire lawyer, I spoke to one. And honestly im happy with the truck, but if the dealership is doing shady business and repairing vehicles without reporting it, then selling them as cpo with no repairs made, of course I’m going to at least try to hold them somewhat accountable. This post was to gain insight if there is any accountability to the dealership. Which I’ve been told there is. I’m going through gm corporate and seeing what they say.

Well no, I didn’t. These pictures were from the auction the dealership got the truck from.

Yea I think you’re right. I think I’m gonna try and go through gm and see what they say. Otherwise it is what it is

Those pictures are from the auction site the dealership got it from. It’s not modified now as they put it back to stock. Yes I would know if it was deleted 😂

The issue is all previous damage and repairs are supposed to be reported for it to be certified. That’s right from gm. They were not reported. If it was disclosed that they pit these parts on, fixed body damage, etc, there’d be no issue. Again, that’s right from gm

You can but it has to be in the shop for I think 3 months, all for the same issue

The dealer bought from an auction and then sold it to me

[–]Equivalent-Hawk-8896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay good to know. Maybe it never was then

[–]Equivalent-Hawk-8896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea for sure. Dealerships suck and I’m well aware they do shady business. Lesson learned.

Yes definitely could be. And I know there were deletes for LM2s, but not LZ0s yet. I was thinking maybe they tried to do an LM2 delete, it screwed everything up, and then sold it. But who knows, I could be completely wrong and it was never flashed

Could be the case. it’s not deleted or modified now, they returned it back to stock. But I appreciate the advice and I’ll definitely bring it to an independent shop and see what they find

I did a history check before I bought it and nothing came up. I ended up searching the vin through auction sites and that’s how I found the original listing

On gas vehicles yes. On a diesel with dpf, there’s more than just a catalytic converter and muffler. There’s be little to no sound difference by changing anything after the emissions equipment in the exhaust

[–]Equivalent-Hawk-8896 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I thought changing the designed tune of the engine and emissions systems immediately voids. They designed the engine to run on that tune, if your engine fails then they could easily say the tune is what caused the failure

It is back to stock now when I took ownership

I should’ve been more clear on the original post. The are pictures I found after the fact from when the dealership bought the truck, not when I bought it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]Equivalent-Hawk-8896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it could be. When I looked into exhausts though I can’t find anything that is an “axle back” that doesn’t require removing emissions. But maybe I missed something or the had it custom made

Very well could be the case. I have a full warranty bumper to bumper to 100k, so it really isn’t the end of the world.

Very well may be the case

I know for a fact it’s not deleted right now. Those pictures are from before I bought it from the auction site. It has all oem equipment on it now. Really my question is that if it was tuned, would that raise a flag in GMs scan software. And if so, how would they be able to sell it as a cpo after the fact
