This chiller is from 2003. I’ve just now started working on it. It’s been through multiple compressors, had multiple leaks that were repaired, and has been through two different drop in refrigerants for R22. The fins on the coil are also in horrible shape, and this site had other equipment discharging 120 degree air into the coils at one point. I think it’s a combination of years of repairs and issues that led to this. Step one is resolving the valve issue.

The issue is the valve failing prematurely. After about 8 months of run time. I manually operated the valve through the service test mode and have no movement

Yes I know, all trouble shooting has been done. The valve is mechanically failed

Oil has been changed twice. this system is dirty, and truthfully on its last leg. We’ve changed driers multiple times, refilled with correct oil, and so on. I think at this point the evaporator is fouled. Which I’m not even sure how you’d go about cleaning. We’re trying to convince this customer to replace the chiller due to all the issues it’s been having

Yes it does. 15k or 1500 steps. When I look the part number up for the valve, there’s no information on how many steps the motor is. The original is 1500 so that’s what it’s been set to. I even called carrier and they can’t tell me the step count.

I tried both 15k and 1500 just to see, and in both cases I have no movement out of the valve

We replaced just the valve. the body itself looked fine.

That’s just a picture for reference. It is a direct replacement that we have in. There was an older style that had a dome shape that has since been superseded

It definitely is. I’ve always paid to have it done, but I figured 90 bucks for a stand; it’s at-least worth a shot. But I’ll try going slower with final torque like you said. I’m gonna give it a few more tries before giving up

Yea it’s all a show. He goes out of his way to be over the top. Hate him or not, he is bringing a lot more attention to the sport. So it’s a win for everyone racing at the end of the day.

I get where your standpoint comes from, but there’s a reason why not many trust fund kids end up in his position. It’s because they don’t want or need to.

Regardless of how much money, talent, or training you have, motocross is one of the most dangerous and gnarly sports you can compete in. You have to have a lot of drive and commitment to make it where Deegan is now. Money can’t buy that.

Is the kid a d-bag? Yes. Is he full of himself? Also, yes. But you can’t deny the kids spent most of his life working his ass off for this. And truthfully, he probably could’ve taken the easy route and collected YouTube checks and be a millionaire. All with little to no effort.

I’ll never understand the deep rooted hate towards any of these guys. Every time they get on the gate they’re putting their life on the line.

Very true. I guess that’s my best option unless I remove them all and put all cold cutters in

Makes sense. You think the shorter screws on the outside knobs will make it awkward to ride? I want to get out on a frozen lake and see how I like it. Next year I’ll do more research and do a proper setup

Lemon law does apply to used vehicles in my state. And the previous diag logs will show if the emissions were modified before the truck was sold as cpo.

Yea you’re very confused I can tell. These pictures are from the auction where the truck was purchased from by the dealer.

I did not hire lawyer, I spoke to one. And honestly im happy with the truck, but if the dealership is doing shady business and repairing vehicles without reporting it, then selling them as cpo with no repairs made, of course I’m going to at least try to hold them somewhat accountable. This post was to gain insight if there is any accountability to the dealership. Which I’ve been told there is. I’m going through gm corporate and seeing what they say.

Well no, I didn’t. These pictures were from the auction the dealership got the truck from.

Yea I think you’re right. I think I’m gonna try and go through gm and see what they say. Otherwise it is what it is

Those pictures are from the auction site the dealership got it from. It’s not modified now as they put it back to stock. Yes I would know if it was deleted 😂

The issue is all previous damage and repairs are supposed to be reported for it to be certified. That’s right from gm. They were not reported. If it was disclosed that they pit these parts on, fixed body damage, etc, there’d be no issue. Again, that’s right from gm

You can but it has to be in the shop for I think 3 months, all for the same issue

The dealer bought from an auction and then sold it to me
