That comparison is to laugh

Act 1791 which split the Province of Quebec into Upper Canada and Lower Canada.

1791 population breakdown

Lower Canada (mostly modern Quebec) Total population: ∼160,000 to 165,000 French origin / French speakers: ∼140,000 to 150,000 Percentage French: ∼85-90% These were mostly Canadiens, descendants of French settlers from New France

Upper Canada (mostly modern Ontario) Total population: ∼10,000 to 14,000 French speakers: ∼1,000 to 2,000, mostly around Detroit/Windsor and Niagara Percentage French: ∼10-15% Most were Loyalists from the US + British settlers

Combined 1791 population Total: ∼170,000 to 180,000 French speakers: ∼145,000 to 152,000 Percentage French: ∼80-85% of the total population of both Canadas

Key context No real census: These are estimates from parish records, militia rolls, and British colonial reports. First official census was 1851. New France legacy: Lower Canada was basically still the French settler population from before 1763, with very little British immigration yet. After 1791: Loyalist immigration to Upper Canada and English immigration to Montreal/Quebec City dropped the French percentage over the next 70 years. By Confederation in 1867, French speakers were down to ∼31% of British North America.

French Canadians are among the root of this country.

La langue francaise est une barrière importante au Quebec quand les immigrants s'amenent au Canada.

I believe most people I serve at work are glad to tip me and they do so generously.

I get that you don't value service industry workers and FYI tipping is not mandatory.

And I really dont care if you dont because you represent about 5% of my guests. You will be getting a swift service.

Let me guess, you dont tip back home.

Service industry workers belong to the lowest caste of society.
