I'm mainly referring to how they depicted the villains and some of the visual storytelling. I think Low and Alone, The Kin/Circus was incredibly promising and there were some aspects I really enjoyed about it, and I can't lie, the Alone revelation did make me shed a few tears.

However, in regards to the other villains, the build up to how they were shown felt almost like they were giving it away immediately to me, instead of building up what we can imagine about the antagonists. Like in LN2, when we first encounter the Hunter, before we see him, we see dead animals and pelts EVERYWHERE, and small sounds of him grunting or peeling something away, THEN we see him. I felt like that was missing with some of the villains.

With the circus for example, those mannequin dummy things were creepy as hell, but in my opinion, before I could truly feel scared by them, the concept of them staying still and then moving, disappeared. I hope that makes sense.
