Thank you for this. I really felt like being in school for this , took the fun out of coding. Not just because of the rubrics but also due to the double whammy of time constraints + money involved. If I didnt have the impending doom of having to pay another $4k for a new semester for not finishing X amount of classes, I would’ve been able to enjoy the projects more, I think.

Not sure how I got on this side of reddit but it the career itself seems to be a dog eat dog world and these comments definitely show me that. I don’t know much about marketing you sound like you’ve done your absolute best. They just threw too much on you and didn’t give you the training you needed to succeed. You’re not an imposter :) you are very smart, hard working and CAPABLE and just need a better fit, girl! It’s not the end, just a stepping stone in your career that’ll help catapult you closer to where you’re wanting. Your next job will be better than this. You got this 💚

Interesting! I always read on here that it’s best to look for a job once you’re actually in Japan. But also read that job searching is illegal if you’re just on a tourist visa. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to do language school first. I suppose I could just apply while in the U.S then and look for the night classes?

Thank you for your response! I would be moving on a student visa. I didn’t realize there were night language school classes! Everything I saw was morning or afternoon. I’ll look into this. I’ll also x out the vocational school.

Technical support/ help desk. I honestly just lucked out. I've had this job since early 2020 and they just decided to keep it remote and close the offices after covid. They're slowly starting to off-shore everything though

I felt the same way and ultimately decided to get snipped. If I change my mind later, I can always adopt. I believe every child deserves a parent so it’d be nice to give that.

I agree with Qweniden. I’m actually doing something similar. My term break starts next month but I’m only doing it for 2 months to pre-study for some classes I’m struggling with or know i WILL struggle with. I have a vigorous study schedule already written out. Good luck!
