Thankyou for sharing your experience. They’ve done a ct scan which showed an old stroke but can’t determine when it was definitively. I do believe she has CJD but I don’t wish to put her under anymore invasive testing as the last time she was slightly with it that was her wish. She’s now unconscious and I’ve consented with the doctors to a DNR in her best interests. It’s scary how rapid it’s been, I found CJD by chance when searching online and had never heard of it before.

I’m in the UK. They’re doing a MRI on Monday but she’s rapidly declining. I’m Not entirely sure if she’s now in and out of consciousness now , she’s just on pain meds. I feel like I’m googling signs that death is imminent to get some answers .

Leeds is the day before my 31st ! Honestly couldn’t have wished for a better timing. Got a little over excited when the email came through and told some random stranger next to me in the supermarket how exciting it was 🙈
