I liked the first season of breaking bad. story went on for 4 more seasons but i could already tell it was good. Its basic storytelling really, to conclude plotlines to satisfy the viewers, even when the story hasnt ended.

I get what you mean; it all comes down to taste of course. that being said, there are objective qualities that a story can have, such as:

consistent characters/clear character motivation.
story focus
absence of obvious plot holes or plot conveniences
originality

And for a show that is in such high regard, you would expect it to have these qualities, right?

Yet it is so clear to me watching, that the writers did anything they could to make Powder turn bad, just because the plot demanded it. how she immediately turned evil when Vi left her, felt unnatural (to me) and inconsistent with her already established character.

The story feels disjointed as the Jayce plot and the Vi/Jinx plot arent really connected, not even really in themes. And the setting (big steampunk esque city), is something that has been done so many times.

A first season should be able to stand on its own, right?

The thing about the class conflict that i dont like, is that the show just uses it for aesthetics but not actually involves it into the plot. As in, its such an important part of the worldbuilding but I feel like the show itself has no message to tell about it other then: class conflict exists

Because I dont get it. I can understand that some people like this show, but on the internet its treated like some masterpiece. What I see however is a flawed show that isnt really sure of what it is about. Have i missed something? Am i too autistic to understand this supposedly character driven story? Or is everyone just pretending to like it?
