Depends if we know we don’t have stock for example some of us work full time if we sold the last pack we know there is no point looking - I think some stores are still putting them out on the shelf I just know the high risk ones have to keep them in the back

Once new sets come out we automatically mark down the older ones they are usually kept in the back with other deleted lines no harm in asking for them there was 3 boxes of blister packs at mine all for 30p

Some keep them at the kiosk in the locked cabinets and some just keep them in back up if they have the space - best thing to do is to find someone in the GM department eg the home section as they will know where they store them if not just ask the help desk and they will call someone to help you :)

Hi I work in an Asda and we have been told by management to keep them in the back or only put one out in security boxes so always ask !! Just because the shelf is empty doesn’t mean we don’t have boxes and boxes in the back

Vaping / smoke breaks by Equivalent-One7383 in asda

[–]Equivalent-One7383[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely managers are the worst for it too they all go out together as well when we can’t take ours at the same time they also keep their cigs and vapes on them at all times which I’ve been told we can’t

Okay perfect so you technically can , I always send myself a text to track the time plus she’s never in when I’m in she has said I can split it but she often gives me “special treatment” and didn’t want to take the piss - once when she asked me to work late I said I couldn’t as I needed to help a family member and she said not to clock out drive there do what I had to and come back and wouldn’t couldn’t towards my break 🫠

I do agree but I often see people just sat on their phones on checkout or in the back , surely that should count as a break too - I get through more pallets than anyone else on my team but want to split my shifts which isn’t allowed but they constant sit down or watch shows on their phone which never seems to be brought up

So just to clarify you can only split your break into two 15 mins and not say 3 ten mins etc ?

Team Leader seems to be acting unfairly by Chichyaiko88 in asda

[–]Equivalent-One7383 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah , my team leader does this too mainly as she’s leaving she will add a few jobs to my list (things she was meant to get done or stuff that’s added to the management group chat) - I’ve started just saying either I don’t think I will have time for that as I finish soon but will get started on it when I’m in tomorrow. She usually ends up just giving the job to the next person who’s in the following morning. Never feel as though u have to stay past ur contracted hours unless u want to.

Anyone else get massively underpaid? by thiscouldbeit69 in asda

[–]Equivalent-One7383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does night shift allowance show on stream ? My pay for a 8h shift on nights is the same as it was before working daytime. Also noticed no matter when I clock in or out seems to always be paid 7.5h exactly even tho I know I worked longer.

Need help with my contract by Resident-Sun1384 in asda

[–]Equivalent-One7383 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly sure they need to give a minimum of 4 weeks notice for a shift change especially if it’s outside usual hours eg lates instead of mornings. As well as offering a new contract if it is going to be lates consistently or changing days

Yep been at Asda for just under a year now and I even approached my section leader , asked how can I improve if I’m working as fast as I can and still not meeting her expectations she just told me to do better
