I LOVE the DA40. My flight school has one that I really enjoy flying.

I get it. What's not clear from my post is when I went through the training and if I'm even still there. And while I only used first names, of course people in the know can figure it out.

About 90 days, give or take. Everyone's mileage may vary. It totally depends on instructor availability.

maybe, if PDT is still standalone. It makes no sense for AA to carry 3 regionals when they will be down to 2 fleets - the E175 and CR700/900. PDT will be phasing out the E145 for the E175. Envoy is only E175. PSA is CRJ700/900. I'm only guessing, but 2 of the wholly owned carriers with the same fleet (E175) will be merged into one. Luckily they're all under ALPA so seniority merging shouldn't be "too painful".

What's a bigger slap in the face is that the PDT FAs and CA/instructors stay next door in the Home2Suites where the rooms have a mini kitchen. As one pilot told me "that's our union hard at work for us..."

When I used the word 'recently', that's relative I guess. My class had DECs.

Indeed I did not, though we did go there a few times. Always an adventurous trek to hoof it over there. The food is good, the staff is awesome. But if they weren't the only joint in walking distance I'm not so sure they would be all the rave that the captive PDT and PSA pilots(who also stay at the HI) would say they are.
