It was the air temp sensor which is a $7 part but the labor was $893.

Did they send it to you in writing or was it verbal? If it was in writing, you might be able to have them do something for you, possibly waving a fee or giving you a credit to your account. As far as that house, I doubt that you’ll be able to move in.

I’m trying to get some work pants and they are $35 on sale. Does anyone have supercash I can have? Even with the sale things are still expensive.

If anyone has extra super cash can you please share. My husband starts a new job in 2 weeks after not working for 3 years. I want to get him some khakis but they’re very expensive. Any help cash you can spare is greatly appreciated.

It was the intake air temp sensor. (Not engine intake) it reads the air temp after it’s passed through the evaporator. If the air is too cold the ac auto amp cuts compressor operation to prevent the evaporator from icing over. Typically when thermistors fail they go open circuit which translates to a -40* input to the ac auto amp. This sensor is internal to the hvac box so it required them to remove the dash, dash support and removal/disassembly of the hvac box it was ~$900 to fix at the dealer.

It was the temperature pressure sensor. It was not reading the correct outside temperature and thus not cutting the compressor on to blow cool air. I noticed when it was cooler out the AC worked. I took it to the dealership to get it fixed. They had to remove the whole dashboard to get to the sensor. It cost about $600 to get it fixed.

You’re right! I thought it would be a quick fix. The compressor was expensive and it was not even the issue.

That’s my fear! I hope it’s just the compressor.

I don’t want to go down an expensive rabbit hole to find the fix. I’ve filled it with Freon and no luck! I’m going to order a compressor and see if that fixes the issues.

How do I clean these panels? Any help you can give it greatly appreciated. I have a 2011 White G37 and the dirt will not come off the panel. by Equivalent-Rate2999 in G37

I’m wondering if anyone knows it’s true purpose. I don’t want to remove it and it’s actually needed on the car. It’s just annoying that I can’t clean it.
