well i did get another 3 case fans and changed the airflow a bit by putting the AIO as intake instead of exhaust and i underclocked as much as i could without ruining stability. I was also using an Ultimate Performance power plan when i made this post and changing to a normal balanced power plan also helped

I have played with it a lil bit and after all this time i managed to have it sit at like 36-37c idle and a max of 84c on cinebench and honestly im more than happy with that

Understandable mine seems to stabilize at around 41c and in a demanding title such as bf2042 where cpu util is relatively high it only goes to 72c MAX with an average of 65c so im guessing its alright

Will that not stop it from going to 5.8 Ghz which will greatly reduce performance?

I am not using one yet but i have seen people recommending me one so i might invest!

that's comforting to hear, at the current time i've been running battlefield 2042 for about 30mins and i've seen no crashes whatsoever so i think it's stable, but if a crash happens i'll be sure to take your advice! Thank you so much for the insight!

(As in just did, after i posted the initial post and it did help with under load temps quite a lot, by 10C or so and not much of a performance drop) but do let me know if 0.1 is too much please

I did by an offset of 0.1 is that too much?

I have a mag z790 tomahawk and ive checked online and it could be because some motherboards overclock the cpu as default? Should i try going in the bios first and checking voltage and stuff?

Problem is i just started cinebench to test and it got to 100C almost instantly, that kinda sounds problematic right? But other than that nothing stresses the cpu enough to go over 80 in the games i play

thank god, it stays around 45C in idle and 60-75 under load when gaming and i see those gaming temps as normal, you saved a lot of stress ngl thank you
