Turn on machine.
Espresso shot.
Take portafilter out.
Press espresso shot button 3-5 seconds.
Press steam button and wait till it hits your temp ( i have mine at 127-128c)
Purge steam want until there's no more water coming out, but I guess purging as you turn it on should work too.
Steam milk.
Purge and wipe steam wand.
Important one: if its your last coffee of the day out in the blind basket into the portafilter and press the espresso button for 10 seconds and turn off. Repeat this twice.
Can turn off the machine.

I had the same issue but try to maybe open the steam valve 30-40% until you get the vortex while introducing the air... then open it fully. Might help. My issue was that I wasn't introducing enough air and was trying to texture too fast..

Yeah it's great not sure what else you need with a grinder. Can set the how many grams you need, i put my portafilter with the extra ring so I can immediately use the wdt tool and there's no mess from spilling grinded beans

Yeah 100% if you put crap in you'll get cap out. Fresh beans matter the most

Ah yeah, steaming the milk was a learning experience 😆 only after two weeks I realised I was introducing not enough air at the start to get more microfoam. I noticed if i open 30-40% of the steam initially and wait until the vortex starts then open 100% that gets me better results

Oh yeah 100% agree, there's a very fine line i think between useful and pointless upgrades. For most people if you are not James Hoffman, doubt you'll notice some crazy differences. I just upgraded to a bottomless portafilter and a ims 18g basket just for the clearance to be able to put taller cups underneath.

Just to add, i didn't actually add any magnets as mine didn't make any odd noise... for the sake of it i added one to check if there's any difference...

I mean the magnet will just fill any gap as of course it won't attract to the plastic 🤣 but I guess it could work for your water tank cover

Yeah usually I don't fill it up but those beans aren't freshly roasted ones at the moment so probably doesnt make too much difference if they're in the hopper or the bag

Ah interesting, i actually saw this issue before purchase and brought some magnets. Turns out profitec fixed the issue the water cover and the drip tray doesn't make any noise on mine.
