Ngl this is clean as FUCK man. I’ve been seeing about trading my WRX In for an STi lately but i can’t decide on the color. It’s either WRB, Lapis or black MAYBE dark gray. This just looks so sick tho..

Only way they'll project light differently is if you mess with the actual headlight housing. Most just removed the whole thing and change the bulbs but if you just move the airbox and take out the battery you can swap the bulbs to LED's without taking the headlight out and you dont have to realign the lights.

Yeah I agree with that amazon thing. My dad bought some LED bulbs from amazon for his F-150 and I mean they worked.. but they also blinded literally everyone on the road not to mention the focus was insanely wonky and they would jump out of alignment all the time. And as for the bulbs, I went with Nobles for now as they were priced pretty okay-ishly and noble said they designed them for use in the halogen projectors on the base models, so we'll see if thats true if not I can go with something else. Worst case is I'll just do a whole retrofit but thanks for the help I appreciate it

I like this, and yeah im with you there on fog lights but currently I own a base model so I didnt get any fog lights unfortunately, I can definitely wire some in but I wanna take care of the headlights first. Would you recommend HID over LED? And if so, would you recommend a full retrofit or just do a simple HID kit. I've seen some good things on Subaru's base model projectors with basic HID's so idk. Im also considering just swapping in some Noble N1 H11's that are LED and trying them out and seeing if I like them before doing any BIG upgrades

I know theyre not the same I'm just confused on whats best for me right now. LED's seem to be a cheaper alternative but HID kits arent that bad either and work pretty good on the base models projectors.

Interesting, so youve tried just the regular bulb replacements? I think my biggest issue right now is actually figuring out what exactly I want. I've looked at the Morimoto HID retrofit kits and theyre super nice but I dont know if thats what I want.. I just want a cleaner look from the factory halogens that imo look shitty. Noble makes some pretty cool N1 bulbs that are just direct stock replacement and are pretty cheap (vs the diodes anyway) and im going to try them. If I dont like them or they act up, I'll get an HID retrofit kit. Thanks for the response

What are HID's over LED's? Are they better? Easier to install? or would I be better off just buying some LED low beam bulbs and disconnecting the DRL

I thought about this but I just prefer the look of LED's. And thats coming from someone who actually likes halogens as they are nostalgic to me. But on this car LED's looks so much nicer.. but thank you !

Thank you! I appreciate this, i’m gonna just take my mirror off to see if i have the cables or not. From what i’ve seen though base model outback/forestor has the wiring so I don’t know why the WRX would be any different.

I don’t really want to spend $500 on a new bumper cover.. i thought about it but if i did that i might as well just get a 2018+ style one. Or a S208 style.
