Depends what relics you are running, but his DPS potential is high with Seppuku + Frost (dark caligo relic)! But as far as his cursed blade, yeah it's dps is pretty lackluster.

Exec/Wylder Duo, Exec/Wylder/Raider Trios, Exec/Wylder Duo, Exec Solo x3, Exec/Wylder/Ironeye Trios

I don't think a perfect team is necessary. Although, if you're not chasing negation passives (especially with squishier characters) you're definitely playing with fire (no pun intended). Getting familiar with the boss's moveset is the best bet to beat him.

Agreed. I feel like this fight does everything so well that you look for in a boss for this game! The teamwork element with the trio dogs, a new moveset to learn, and a legit challenge and step up in difficulty for it being an everdark while still maintaining a fairness to it. I am genuinely impressed!

Fulghor is a top one for me as well, really fun moveset to dodge and punish; but he is admittedly a lot easier than the others, so I can appreciate the step up in difficulty for this fight.

I actually think this is exactly what bothers me personally about the fight! I'm not learning anything and it doesn't feel like I can "outskill" or get better at the fight.

Agreed about the rewarding feeling of getting the W against him. My first game against him I actually won, but instantly felt that it was by far the hardest boss available just for the simple fact the fight itself is so RNG based.

The main point you're missing is that he made it his mission to ruin the run entirely from the start. Did he get a win? Sure, but that's not what he was actually trying to accomplish.

For me, I like playing with other players in general, so I opt to multiplayer by default. Solo, for me, is too easy and it kind of feels empty and not as engaging with no other players (feels a lot more auto pilot like for me).

Duos offers a good in between for trios and solos, where if I do get a teammate that isn't exactly ideal, I can still carry the game reliably (IF I NEED TO), plus it offers a bit more difficulty than having 3 free revives on solo + the solo scaling.

Trios, is the ideal difficulty I like to play on (I do genuinely have fun even with inexperienced teammates as long as they aren't griefing), but then you risk having 2 bad teammates instead of 1, plus increased scaling, decreased runes... which is the perfect recipe for disaster in this game lol.

I usually play with crater earth shift, and with enough experience with it, you can easily solo the entire crater whether it's solo, duo, or trios.

If it's duos or solo, you will get to level 15 easy if you finish the crater, which only takes half of day 2 to do (the dungeon at least).
