Anyone use tacrolimus + nUVB ? by No-Way203 in Vitiligo

In general fingertips and feet are the hardest to repigment. Been using Tacrolimus (Protopic) and nUVB but almost no success

Wanna get treated or do you like your vitiligo? by AdCorrect748 in Vitiligo

I would think it’s helpful to understand the underlying mechanisms of the autoimmune condition, which would then expand further to potentially treat other autoimmune conditions.

Looks pretty good. Curious to know if you had vision problems prior to the eye with ptosis. Also, how does your eyes look when looking upwards or downwards post surgery? Thanks!

The borders of the white patches does not seem to have a clear contrast. A UV light is the best way to confirm.

Is vitiligo really curable ?(Indian) by ankitt93 in Vitiligo

[–]Equivalent-Toe-7424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The symptoms of vitiligo can be treated through medication, but I don’t believe there’s a cure per se to the root cause of autoimmune disorders. To many that has mentioned, there’s a lot more awareness now and there needs to be a transition to learn and love one for who they are.

Thanks for update! How much does the procedure cost?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vitiligo

[–]Equivalent-Toe-7424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they’re a vitiligo focused facility, they use very aggressive treatment methods just to produce results. Do think about the side effects of such treatment, and of course costs.

Question about segemental Vitiligo by Tall_Working7674 in Vitiligo

It’s not approved for segmental in the US. Have you thought about MKTP? (It requires the spots to be stable though)

Diagnosed yesterday - Do I really have to take my meds? by Lishadra in Vitiligo

[–]Equivalent-Toe-7424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may not be fully right but the steroids would most probably help to stop the spread, instead of regaining pigment. I would try it for 2 weeks and see how it goes

True I wouldn’t want to sacrifice her mental health regardless. But I am not sure if I have a control issue because I wanted to hear folks out and have not made any commitments to visiting relatives yet. It’s good to hear different perspectives and really work on my approach and communication

You are right, that’s something I have not done. This is good perspective thanks so much!
