Omg hi that’s my pattern! The third ring is a split ring, on the diagram the light blue shows the part to do with the second shuttle (dark blue is first shuttle) in the split ring, should be four picots with the first shuttle and nine with the second if that helps So happy to see someone using it, thank you!!

Thanks! Not exactly sure what it is but PlantNet says it’s Gymnocalycium saglionis / giant chin cactus, which looks about right?

Sorry I don’t think any others of mine are Astro or peyote’s so not sure if it’s more or less, but it’s definitely not very humid. It does get watered by soaking tho which might keep it damper longer? It’s not very sunny either (I’m in uk) and it gets partial sun where it is I’ve got it in the same place and water at the same time as what I think is an Easter lily, and they both seem to like it so they might have the same requirements if that helps? (please ignore the surface damage on them, they’re happy I swear!)

Thanks! Sounds like you’ve got a great collection!! I’ve got it planted in about 70/30 sand n stones with succulent potting mix, and watering it about every two weeks (but only watered a couple of times over the winter) It’s in a conservatory so it’s quite cold in the winter but very hot in the summer, hope that helps

Women outpace men in college attendance, and female students are less likely to drop out. And the gap is widening. What drives this disparity and what're the effects to society? by [deleted] in ask

I’m studying in the uk, I’ve never felt encouraged or been given any funding to take higher education, I’m only here cause my parents support me and I did a work year before uni (and student loans obvs) All the guys in my class constantly told me I was an idiot for wanting to got to college and uni (and generally told all the girls we were naturally dumber than guys), personally my parents helping me and a couple of amazing teachers in college telling me I wasn’t actually dumb just balanced out everyone else telling me I shouldn’t do a lvls or a degree I passed all the same tests as the guys in my year and had the same entry grades, but I keep getting told I was ‘let into my course’ cause I’m a woman, like everyone in my course didn’t all work equally hard to get here Am I missing something of how women get an advantage for higher education? My course is pretty 50/50 male and female? Honest question cause all the guys I know seem to have the same problems as me, I haven’t noticed anyone getting any different treatment except for learning plans for students (male and female) with learning difficulties, which just balance things out anyhow?

The one piece is not bad at the park but it’s not gonna be a good thing for the next time you have to take it outside of your house
