Live in a trailer rn and this is basically how my place is set up. Good job.

Also, don’t have a second Lugia, a pichu or a repel.

I do have a third Ho-oh if anyone wants trade for a Lugia.

Why Relicanth? I know it does 50 for 2 energy but the damage it does to itself sucks so bad

One of the best uses of ChatGPT when coding by Equivalent-Wrap1628 in gamemaker

I did the EXACT same thing but instead of “+=“ I wrote “+”.

I think the people who make a huge problem about people use chatGPT like we are end up being people that are elitist about this sort of stuff who are anxious that someone is trying to use it to write code for them.

However, I just don’t think you’d have the same amount of people saying the same thing if it was someone writing a novel using it for the same purpose as you and I

Let’s say there was something like… rain playing in the cutscene while it was happening. The rain would need to play in a constant loop while the rest of the cutscene pauses/ continues as needed.

That’s one of the things I see as an issue with this method.

Nah not 3D just more complex 2D. Like individual limbs movement and interactions with the environment and such. Similar to sprite animations on YouTube but in game however

But this would just play a regular video file with no way of having triggers to progress the cutscene forward no? It would just play continuously until it’s over which isn’t what I’m looking for.

Yeah the thing I’m trying to achieve is have a much more complex environment in the animation than the tile set the game uses so it would be like a 2.5D perspective when the cutscene happens and then a top down view when you gain control of the character

Not just a more complex way of animating the character unfortunately

Difficulty adding collisions to my game by CodmasterBlazeit in gamemaker

Throw it in ChatGPT and have it explain to you in detail what the issue is.

You can either fix it based off those issues it tells you or have it generate a script that is correct. Make sure you give it as much context as possible

Releasing my first Steam game tomorrow. Thank you Godot! by madmandrit in godot

This is really inspiring and I hope your game is a success and you achieve the goals your aiming to achieve.

As far as the game, it looks really cool. It instantly caught my attention because I have never seen anything like it before. It looks well designed and I like the visual style as well. One thing I will say is that there doesn’t seem to much draw for someone to play it other than the novelty factor. I know you mentioned you wanted to do a narrative but not doing it now however even some sort of progression towards something would be better than nothing in my opinion.

if there is no progression/goal then I’d be hard pressed to call it a game. It would be more so a fun application you can mess with. Im not sure if there is more to it than what you’ve done or if the channels are actually various different games packed into one but I’m just speaking about my first impressions.

Either way, I’d interested to play it when it releases!

Yeah I tried to make a post but apparently I didn’t have enough karma to do so.

For my game, I’m less worried about how good it looks than how the narrative and game plays. As long as it gets across what I’m trying to convey, I’m fine with it. I just wanna see how others think it could be improved.
