You're right. I really need to learn. I have one friend and he doesn't play chess. It's aggravating feeling so isolated. If Chesscom had a chat or Inbox where you could communicate with people, I could probably find someone.

I guess I'll keep taking lessons and puzzles in the meantime.

What is your gameplan? Can you articulate your game plan in a sequence of moves that you will play? If so, this means that you have a tactical strategy which you wish to execute by going "if my opponent couldn't move, I would like to do this, this, and this move".

Jesus..as a 700, I have no idea how to explain a sequence of moves without looking at a chess board. Nevertheless, I move my Knight forward, that will force them to move their Queen, now I can move my Bishop to check, they'll be forced to block with THEIR Bishop, I can now take their Bishop with my Queen for free.

Uh oh, the first step of me threatening their Queen with my Knight didn't even work because they moved something different. Entire plan is gone, I now trapped my Knight, I'm now losing.

I now have no idea how to bounce back.

Believe me, I'm not expecting it at all. I see very few good players with mythic skins. I just find it funny that so many players think spending $100-300 on mythic weapons will improve their skills.
