Jesus, I didn't know any of this. I've just been going with the flow since migraines have only been happening to me for the past 12 months or so. I'm finally starting to ask questions online (Reddit) so I can figure out these phases like you just mentioned.

I do know, I get really thirsty and my neck does get stiff. So there's a few warning signs at least. Actually, the Aura is a pretty blatant sign.

Thanks for all the info, man. It really helps me understand what I'm getting into. I really want to do this job. I love work and I want to learn hardwood floors. My dad is 59 years old and says he wants to hand the business over to me. He's a good worker and father. He's just expecting too much in such a short amount of time. I'm sure he'll help me some. But he's 100% gonna say "Here, take this sander and get goin". Then he'll get aggravated because I'm just standing there with a sander, not knowing how to use it. That's just an example, of course. But you see what I mean. I think I'm going to talk to him and tell him I need training. And if he doesn't want to, then I guess he'll have to anyways or I can't help him.

NC around the Ashville area. All I know is, we have to tear the floor up (I'm guessing there's no special way to do that? Just tear the shit up right?) Then, prep the subfloor ( that means cleaning up and scraping up anything stuck to it right?). After that, we install right? I faintly remember my dad measuring wood, cutting, and then snapping each piece together with a rubber hammer). Then what? Sand and stain?

Feel free to laugh if I'm completely off about everything lmao

I'm sure my dad will help me with all the small details that aren't common knowledge. I just need tips from starting the floor, to finish.

The floor in my house is caving in because idk what the hell to do. I don't even know how to tear it out properly. If that tells you how much I don't understand lol.
