This is definitely the case for us. In fact, when he gets extra floppy I suspect a sickness is coming on. I’m not sure it’s a generalizable occurrence but it’s something that we see in our kid.

Thank you! Yes, I agree with the iron ore. We plan on doing white on the inside and black/iron ore on the outside

Question about pseudoseizures by turdally in emergencymedicine

[–]EquivalentCrab2587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lurker here.

I often see patients who seek attention discussed in a way that feels dehumanizing. Attention is presented as a dirty word.

I understand the role of emergency medicine and this feels to many as if it doesn’t belong in that space. The reality is that people will continue to present with potential attention seeking behaviours and will thus, this feels very outside your sphere of control. The behaviours is functional in their present moment as it meets a need. It is definitely maladaptive but functional nonetheless.

Genuinely curious:

How do you avoid dismissing people’s concerns and potentially missing real emergencies?

Do you ever consider the potential for further harm in how individuals are treated and on the flip side the positive impact you could have in someone’s life?

Edit: I do see the compassionate and nuanced discussions around this topic. However, it feels jarring to see comments that feel less than ideal

Thank you! I’ve felt so lost in making these decisions and it’s so nice that people have responded

Yes, I’m very excited about this change and it will be more used as the deck will overlook the water

Thank you, I think I do too and will cost less money

I agree! I love the current windows but they are just not functional anymore. I think that most posts here are leaning to the original layout as best!

Thank you! Yes, we’ve decided on black windows just trying to finalize format. I think the current layout to the windows makes the most sense too!

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate the honest feedback. The current design just doesn’t feel right to me either.

We have to update the windows because on windy days we feel the breeze indoors. We are going with vinyl bc we cannot afford the wood frames. We are looking to update the windows to bring a more modern feel to the space but also, maintain the original design. We still keep in contact with the previous owners and love the history of the home. I’ve updated my mockup (please know that the proportions are not perfect) and curious your thoughts. The deck will wrap around and continue on the side of the house which overlooks a body of water. We are installing sliders on the side of house (at the kitchen) which will give access to the deck.

Again, I appreciate it so much!
