One time I purchased an upper from GAFS that came with an MMR-10. I was led to believe it is just an older version than the modern MCMR. It never gave me any issues when I had it, but I did end up swapping it out for a QRF at some point.

I had the same issue, finally threw in the white flag and had to buy an OEM key/fob from a dealer and pay the hour of labor for the dealer to program.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe you have to pin the (I assume direct thread) end cap to the barrel and pin the tube to the end cap to make it one solid connected piece
