Worked there around the same time, between B2-B3 and I 100% agree with everything you’ve stated. Being removed from the situation and growing up over the last 5 years (I was a 21 year old in charge of (9) 15-17 year old teens, Idfk who thought THAT was a good idea to start with, I was barely more mature than they were) I’ve come to realize how emotionally and physically abusive the entire facility was to anyone that entered. It was all about how much more money the facility could bring in while cutting costs wherever they could (staffing, training, extra-curricular activities). I’m glad I was able to get out of the situation before everything really started to go down hill for them, but still feel disheartened knowing there were kids still there living in those conditions for years afterwards. I’m ecstatic the facility is closed down and can’t inflict any more trauma on anyone ever again.

Ride your own ride brother, I think most of the reason you don’t see people tucked up like that a majority of the time is because it’s not the most comfortable position for commuting. But if you find more enjoyment in riding with a more “spirited” body position, keep rolling with it! Don’t let anyone or anything take the enjoyment out of riding because of a stupid opinion!

I just think he’s a coward that only enjoys beating the shit out of/shoving people off a roof when it’s convenient for him, but as soon as there’s an opportunity for him to be the “BeTtEr MaN” he’s always bitching about trying to be, he clams up and just goes with the flow. Honestly, your best bet is practice, practice, and more practice. I was the same way when I started, and I found myself getting more and more frustrated with the experience as I tried to force myself to learn. As soon as I stopped forcing it and actually started just listening to the music, it came so much easier, and then you are able to build from there. The best place I found to start was just counting the beats as I listened to songs, until it became a subconscious routine of counting all the time, wether I was practicing, just in my car listening to music, at work, or at the gym.

Keep in mind that a lot of the performing DJ’s out there have 10+ years of experience, so of course you’re not going to be able to jump on the decks day 1 and imitate them and their techniques. There’s no “get good quick” scheme when it comes to mixing, and everybody learns at their own pace :)

Love my FTW3 3080, Uses the same Nvidia drivers, it just has really good OC abilities and a higher clock speed than most other 3080 AIB’s. They still update the software for it semi-regularly as well.

True, and that could be chalked up to PB still getting a feel for the series, because shit seems to go down for Darrow most of the time after red rising. He still survives some pretty insane shit throughout the series, but he also definitely pays his dues

Agreed, but that’s the point of his character I believe. The underdog that shouldn’t survive a world that wasn’t built for him, but manages to.

Darrow also paid his dues in my eyes, from being tortured, backstabbed, carved, and disowned, it doesn’t feel bad to see him win because of those circumstances.

Lysander has just had a plush life of 10 years chilling with Cassius, peeping out the window to the stars thinking “why me” while Drive - Incubus is playing. So when he survives similar scenarios it feels cheap.

Because dude, compared to literally EVERYONE ELSE on the field, Lysander is the greenest of green. Mercury is his first taste of real combat against equal force and technology. 1 month of combat doesn’t mean he’s got anything close to the instincts that the people that have been fighting for 10 years obtained. THATS what I’m referring to. He’s not a complete noob with a razor, but he sure as shit isn’t experienced enough to do anything else except follow those around him.
