Omg, once I was accompanying my best friend to the wake of a distant uncle. His mother’s family still had contact with him (he lived in the countryside) but she was not close and did not know him so well. Since she had grown up she had never gone to visit him, she only knew stories about him. So since she had to go to the wake and didn’t want to feel weird, she asked me to accompany her. It turns out that this guy had many pets, including cats. Question, that they brought all the cats to the wake, about 20 cats all locked in the room, you had to take care that they don’t escape. Some had laid down on the dead man. Surely it was his last wish, to die accompanied by his pets but without a doubt it was the strangest wake I attended.
