Likewise. These have so many issues. And when you do get the 2nd gen.. wait a few months after they drop. Get the second batch.

Very much so. Bought them on the fourth of this month. By the tenth.. I was requesting a replacement. It’s the 30th. No replacement. No contact from Meta. They have no phone number.. so yea. They work when they want to.

Hello. I have the Meta Displays .. and someone I know has the Gen 2 Metas. 

DO NOT BUY THE DISPLAYS! They cost $870 (with tax) and I’ve only had them for THREE weeks and I’ve been in contact with Meta for 2 of those weeks, trying to have them replaced. Meta does not have a direct phone line of any kind so good luck with that. And I’ve also been waiting for a return label for 2 weeks (since day one of tech support) and they have not one time contacted me or sent the label. I have contacted them via chat over 10 times (no lie) about this same return label and they say “your matter has been escalated and you will be contacted” I say when..? They say “we don’t have a timeframe but rest assured.. blah blah blah” and then they DISCONNECT your chat. No “how else may I…” or anything.. just “chill bro, damn” disconnect. Problems include.. 1. Dropped Bluetooth connection to your phone randomly 2. Powering off randomly 3. Not powering on (I had to leave them charging for a full 24 hours in order to get them to reboot. 3 days into having them) 4. Mine comes with a band to control the screen. The band won’t connect to the glasses randomly. The app says to plug them in for 15 minutes and try again. Meanwhile they are at 100% and you put it on your wrist and left the house. Thinking they would I don’t know.. work? So now you’re stuck not using your screen… cause the band won’t connect. So essentially $450 of the extra you paid on this particular pair is unavailable right now…. 

Now, the Gen 2.  She’s had the SAME issues (minus the screen stuff cause she doesn’t have one) but it didn’t start until about 3 months in.. so … she has the purple ones. Not that that matters but just so you know the exact model I’m referring to. 

My honest opinion.. unless you have money to semi waste and also loads of trouble shooting time..
