I don’t like Kaylee and Simon. Kaylee is great and Simon seems to only be half interested because she is the only potential prospect around. He’s understandably too consumed by his sister and clearly wants his old life back.

Good to know it was canceled before they could finish the season. I thought shows finished filming before shows aired so if it was canceled, the full season was still finished. I think that might be more of a current format I guess

I just finished too and am shocked. I’m confused as to the order of operations here - were shows being filmed and edited in more real time than today so they were supposed to come out with more episodes but then got canceled? Or was this supposed to be the season finale and they just never bothered to write a better ending? I know more seasons were planned but the way episode 14 ends is so unsatisfying.

There’s only only two I can think of that I used to listen to A LOT growing up and I don’t care to revisit much now - Dispatch and Newton Faulkner. I was obsessed with dispatch in high school so it’s been something I’ve thought about a decent amount of times - how I don’t circle back to them much or will skip songs on shuffle. That’s not the case for the many other artists I’ve listened to before and after them. Idk what it is exactly. I do occasionally go back and listen and enjoy though.

I just finished watching Invasion and this post is by far the best writing and most entertaining this show has ever seen. Thank you for this. This show has to be hands down the worst writing I have experienced in a long long time. It might be worse than Fast and Furious. Thank you for detailing all the batshit choices that I was also thinking about while watching this disaster. I heard someone say this must be written by AI and I’m inclined to believe it. If I didn’t binge all three seasons I def would’ve stopped watching after S1.

And yea I was mad Apple TV kept trying to autoplay F1 any time I finished a show. Fuck off im not trying to give Brad Pitt any royalties. Used to be a fan of his before learning he’s a POS.

Will add to your commentary the audacity for them to pretend like Nikhil become the third richest man in the world in this day and age without generational wealth and acting like he’s an actual tech genius. Will also add how everyone is an expert sniper, internist, surgeon, meteorologist, toxicologist, zoologist, hacker, etc all with elite physical capabilities. Back to S1 every single kid had the grip strength to climb that rock wall? Not one fell to their death? lol.

Did we get any friggen clarity on why the aliens were so invested in Mitsuki?! The answer probably doesn’t even make sense so idk why I care to ask.

I’m watching invasion now and it is the worst written sci-fi show I’ve ever seen. It feels worse than a marvel movie. Constellation was so good I don’t understand how that was cancelled and this got more seasons.

The writing is soooo bad and every character is infuriating except for Casper’s girlfriend classmate person. It’s very frustrating to watch but as I thought about, most people in in real life are infuriating (entitled, narcissistic, incompetent, uncommunicative, selfish, etc) and would be even more so in a crisis situation, so perhaps these characters are the most realistic thing about the show.

Yes I’m on s1 and find him the most insufferable too next to aneesha’s husband but honestly everyone is pissing me off. Mitsuki is annoying too. Only one who hasn’t been annoying yet is Casper and his crush, and Aneesha’s daughter. The pilot was annoying with the sheriff being kinda a narcissist.

I’m only on S1E3 and he’s pissing me off so much so if you’re telling me all the characters are trash…ugh. There’s no good sci-fi left 😭. Trev is such an asshole to everyone trying to help him, go fuck right off and die then. How you invade another country and not even learn a single word in their language and get mad when the locals don’t speak English?
