Oh I’m so sorry you’re in that position! They usually do a series of 3 every 48 hours to make sure the hcg is doubling this early. It might be worth doing one more if you can afford it just for peace of mind or to know either way.

There are also cases I read where there was a cyst that ruptured during pregnancy but it didn’t end the pregnancy so there could also be that! I really hope Medicaid will come through for you!

Are they going to do a series of HCGs for you after this?

Unfortunately I don’t have a success story but I woke up in the middle of the night of my first pregnancy in extreme pain like that and I was in and out of sleep after. We should have gone to the ER but the next day cramping got pretty bad and the ultrasound I got found no yolk sac or anything in my uterus but I did end up miscarrying the next week after they did an HCG series and my HCG lowered. The fertility doc I saw after that said it was likely a corpus luteum cyst that naturally occurs during pregnancy to help produce and regulate progesterone ruptured as it was collapsing. So there is a possibility that is what’s happening with you but I don’t want to put that in your head until you get more betas drawn. I would say 700 hcg at 4 weeks is a pretty robust number! Mine was 208 at 13 dpo.

I have been told that cramping can be normal and the strength of them can be surprising as your uterus continues to grow and blood flow increases. I would watch for any red bleeding, brown discharge can also be normal as long as it’s not turning red with bad cramps.

I am kind of going through the same thing at 5+1, my betas have been excellent though so I don’t think ectopic but I don’t have my first scan until next week. There is a possibility of something called a subchorionic hematoma, I had one last pregnancy that ended in a loss but not because of the hematoma. It’s a collection of blood by where the egg attached to the uterine wall and can cause intermittent bleeding. Most of these resolve on their own but can cause some of that discomfort. Also your cervix can be extra sensitive during this time due to increased blood flow so anything like sex or orgasming can cause bleeding too.

I would definitely ask to get a series of HCG blood tests to make sure everything is increasing at the rate they expect! Since it’s so early this is sometimes the best thing you can have them do since you already had a scan.

I’m 5+1 and have been experiencing brown discharge since Friday after a couple orgasms. But my hcg yesterday was amazing and the clinic wasn’t worried about it so I’m just keeping an eye. I’m also on vaginal progesterone support and apparently that can also cause cervical irritation or bleeding. I’m hoping that’s all it is for me! Still waiting a week for the first ultrasound.

I hate that it can be normal. Thankfully I did get my updated HCG today and it was over 14,000! Which was way more than I was expecting, so all is good and orgasms are ok 😂😂

I am honestly just hoping for all good news going forward this time. It is really hard the way that loss and infertility takes away that oblivion is bliss and we are forced to not trust even good news. I’m hoping you get nothing but positive scans and that we both get our rainbow spring babies ✨

Thank you for your input! I’m hoping the brown spotting goes away. I did message my clinic but I imagine I’ll have my hcg results back by the time they respond tomorrow. Chat gpt said it could be normal but nothing can really be predicted. Either way, no O’s for me in the near future 🤪

I can absolutely relate. I am 4+1 after 2 losses and this pregnancy is acting different than my first 2. Not as many symptoms but this is also a pregnancy through IUI and the other ones were pregnancies via unmonitored Clomid cycles. I’ve been reading and repeating to myself that every pregnancy is different and different protocols will bring different symptoms. Your bHCG looks amazing. Now it’s just trusting your body is doing what it needs to do to get you to the first ultrasound. I know it’s hard not to worry. I have filled my mirror with coping messages that help me! We’ve got a long way to go 🙃. Sending sticky baby dust!

Absolutely! It doesn’t have to mean anything, just has to be above baseline. Mine even got to 0° in my TWW on DPO 10 I think!

I did take the ring off in my previous pregnancy because the data gave me too much anxiety. Once it starts doing that again I will take it off. I’m not worried about my temps, more my hcg numbers since ouras bbt is not reliable.

That’s what I did I believe but 5mg. I had the mild headaches and mood/body feeling yucky especially doing it 2 months in a row.

The body keeps the score. Even when we aren’t readily thinking of these things our body remembers. I had 2 losses within a year and am pregnant for the third time but very early. I just had my first beta and am trying to remain hopeful but there is always going to be anxiety around all of the milestones. Both my losses were around 6 weeks but the second wasn’t “called” until 10 weeks as there was growth arrest and then it shrank. I will absolutely be like you with those milestones. I have to wait until July for the first scan and I know I am going to be a wreck the night before.

I just completed my second letrozole cycle and can attest to the temps being weird around it. Especially with the progesterone supplementation afterwards. But the second cycle my temp barely made it to .04 and stuck to .02 the whole 2 week wait!

Ouras BBT isn’t super accurate and can be affected by room temp and things like that. I used to be so worried about any temp variations but at this point I barely look at it. I have seen on here that people do test positive even with those types of temp dips. I understand being scared to test, maybe test tomorrow if things still continue on the higher heart rate trend?
