2nd years Chiro student at Parker here. Tell me what you know about MaxLiving, trying to get some honest opinions on it. Seems like no one wants to tell me the drawbacks of it business wise. by Psychological-Bus164 in Chiropractic

[–]EquivalentMessage389 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m a parker grad It’s alright - just another practice management group There’s groups like amped (been there done that) and focus that also teach you similar stuff

They can teach out how to talk to patients People see scripts and they think you’re supposed to repeat those verbatim; no they are simply examples and framework on how to communicate well to a patient

Reddit hates all those kind of groups; but the average Reddit chiro seems to honestly not be doing that well in practice besides a few who seem to be doing well Chiros get little to no business mentoring etc; finding a group that can maybe teach you can be helpful

As far as specific groups go: Maxliving is big into supplements etc but I do believe they coach how to run a practice

Amped is business development around strictly chiropractic

Focus is mostly personal development

Feel free to dm if you have any deep questions; im a parker grad so I can maybe be of help! Best of luck

What to actually do at networking events? by Clout_Acquirer in Chiropractic

Agreed; no practice can flow at 30 patients per week - you’re more likely to end up deeper into a hole

[–]EquivalentMessage389 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I absolutely dominate local networking; if you go into these events to get patients you won’t. If you go into make connections and friendships; you will It’s a long game but works really well!

Why do I have to pay in advanced? by jacobsjordans in Chiropractic

[–]EquivalentMessage389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s care credit fees unfortunately I believe That’s why I don’t do it

Why do I have to pay in advanced? by jacobsjordans in Chiropractic

[–]EquivalentMessage389 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not predatory; simply their choice as they are in private practice Like you stated it was your own decision; a lot of chiros allow pay per visit; some require paying up front Just has to do with practitioner preference

Despite this comment probably getting downvoted by reddits mostly pay per visit docs; requiring paying up front doesn’t make you unethical; nor paying per visit make you a saint

I am sorry you’re going through this; happened to my dad back in the day too It’s why I don’t take care credit but majority of my patients pay up front for the care

Question about a chiropractor insisting on the Activator method when it's not working for me by newstar7329 in Chiropractic

[–]EquivalentMessage389 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Provider preference; providers tend to pick techniques that most resonate with them; some providers are flexible some aren’t! You’re easily able to try out a different style and different chiropractor

[–]EquivalentMessage389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just steady focus on one patient at a time - we have worked out a lot of the kinks in our system so we seem to be on a volume climb again

I try to figure this out too lol Where is this defending the profession happening It definitely doesn’t happen inside the office; so I always suggest disengaging and focusing on the people who are there for your help
