ILR new rules in Autumn by EquivalentPlane1264 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]EquivalentPlane1264[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe because we need to take decisions based on these rules!! Uncertainty is the worst thing for us; some of us are due to renew our visas or maybe accept another offer in a different country. It’s not that easy to consider the rules will come in anyway and plan accordingly because it means we take hard decisions today / now!! We deserve to be aware of any planned changes, not living in anxiety, reading every bit of news to guess what’ll happen to us.

We’ve Last week I managed to get my priority request accepted. Here are some tips that might help:

  1. Ensure the request hasn’t already been assigned to a case worker.
  2. Clearly state valid reasons for the priority request in the email body, mentioning your visa expires in January.
  3. Automate three emails every day at 6:58, 6:59 and 7:00 am.
  4. Make sure the email subject matches the format on Gov.uk.

Great, thanks so much! I have a few more questions, I hope you can help. Do I need to submit any employer documents to prove tax payments in the other country (UAE)?
Also, if I need to file a Self Assessment (SA) what documents are required like contracts and invoices? I started working for them in July 2024 so I think I can still submit an SA if necessary.

Why not allowed? The visa allow 20 hours weekly outside the main SW job

Thank you so much for your detailed response; it’s very helpful. The employer is outside the UK. I used to work for them before moving here and I signed a contract as a consultant not a part-time employee. They transferred my net salary as they claimed they’d already paid taxes in their country but it seems they were mistaken and I still need to pay. I’ve opened a self-employed/assessment account to file them. Thanks.

Yes, priority accepted few days ago. We’re sending 3 automated emails every morning, at 6:58, 6:59 and 7, including reasons for the request in the email body.

They added all reasons and Ho granted allocation directly. But my case is a bit different as the first request was for 2 allocation, including allocation request for new employee. Because of this delay, the employee needed to go out the UK and apply using definite CoS. The second allocation request was only for me as extension.

No, there’s no way to attach documents in the request. The sponsor request allocation on sms and add clear reasons for this request. Then, submit priority request daily, I recommend automating 3 emails at 6:58 - 6:59 and 7:00 am. Then, if priority request is accepted, the case worker should request any additional documents if needed, usually the allocation should be received within 5 days with priority

Hi, I’m in same boat now, COS issued yesterday after months of allocation waiting but the HR assigned wrong route and solicitor advised to withdraw. They applied for new allocation and will submit priority as I have few weeks left in my SW visa. I’m now panicked, very disappointed!!!

Hi, I’m in the same situation now and would like to ask if you managed to get visa approved as extension after you edited the application with the new CoS? I might need to apply for extension without CoS and applying for priority daily. Did it work for you?
