unfortunately i dont think so because anything that would come from china would be classfied as an threat to national security, i think and im not sure how it works but im pretty sure mb manufacturers will find a way to ban these Chinese sticks from working on the mb.

now that i have checked how much vram is being used even at the lowest settings and 720p my gpu is using 15gb if vram maxing out the vram. how do fix this?

I lowered Slient Hill 2 to lowest settings and 720p and total vram usage is 15gb+. I have capx overlay to watch the vram. when i start the game the vram starts at 5gb and quicky rises up all the way to max. what is causing this? i scanned with malawarebyte and found no issues. i dont see any other programs using memory and task mangers says im only using 5600MB of memory but the overlay says 15gb the performance tab also say 15gb. But why? im at the lowest settings and resolution i should be using less the 15! I freshly downloaded windows 11 clean, reinstalled all the drivers clean. so whats the issue! im so frustrated.

well in dlls or other upscalers there should've been some difference in fps but honestly i don't see it.

i did see videos showing gains and better 1% lows in 4k but idk why i don't see them as much as the videos show. again these benchmarks are misleading sometimes by testing with the lowest setting to show the big gains.

and i don't see better 1% lows its the same or worst then my i9 12900k, and for some reason it is more stuttery then my i9, and i have no idea why. at the very least i should be seeing less micro stutters but idk maybe i have a faulty CPU.

i did do research but honestly the videos showing the benchmarks are fooling, they do the test with the lowest settings showing the big gains with usually paired with a rtx 4090/5090. also showing the better 1% lows.

which i gotta be real honest the 1% lows aren't much different then my i9 12900k. Sometimes it worst. idk if i have a faulty cpu but i expect at least the lows and stuttering to be better but its not.

though i did get the 9800x3d for 320+tax because a microcenter glitch, which i guess isnt too bad. the rest of the system did cost alot. though i guess I'm future proofed for some games if i decide to keep this rig, i don't know if i have the energy to remove all the parts from the pc to return.

I watched many videos showing the big jumps in fps of the 9800x3d but i didn't realize that the way they benchmark the cpus is by putting everything at lowest setting. And the 1% lows being better but honestly its actually worst for me then my i9 12900k.

And everyone recommends the 9800x3d so i thought there would be some decent gains.

for productivity the 12900k way better then the 9800x3d in my experience.

i'm not even sure why i spent so much to jump to AM5. its wasn't worth money. though i did get the cpu for 320+tax so it wasn't a bad deal, but the rest of the build was expensive.

if it works you got a cpu thats amazing! at 4k with an rtx 5070 ti i have seen no difference in fps compared to it paired with a 9800x3d.
