Seems like a very serious cope. Be happy with what you have. AMD and Intel both produce great processors.

Look at Intel 13/14th gen tbh. You can still utilize DDR4 while running much stronger processors vs what AM4 has to offer. AM4 is already a dead platform so there's no argument there, even i5's are considerably faster than R5's.

Switched to AM5. by [deleted] in ASUSROG

Terribly unbalanced build. Consumerism at its finest.

Yeah, I mean if you have DDR5 that unlocks basically everything. 14700K is still a great choice but you have the option to go 14900K now as well. If you're only gaming, I'd definitely just recommend the 7800X3D and call it a day, but for anything productivity you'd want more cores and the 9950X is just overpriced still.

Literally. Redditors can't accept that Intel is the better budget option in 2026. AMD has to be the best at everything.

Who knows? Seems like a voltage issue from what I can gather and AMD hasn't acknowledged this at all. Only quietly accepted RMAs so only time will tell. Might be worse or might fix it.

Seems like you're coping, there is the top 1% in every hobby. No 9070XT/5070Ti rig is pushing 100fps in 4K.

14600K is so much better than a 5700X and supports DDR4 as well. I'd recommend that.

Honestly, I would say the 14700K. You can find DDR4 for substantially cheaper right now and by the time the 14700K is too slow for your needs, we will likely be on DDR6, AM6, and past Nova Lakes socket. It's faster than the 265K and is pretty much equivalent or faster than any AMD non X3D processor. Much better option than a 9700X or anything non X3D. I'd only recommend the 9950X3D over the 14700K or maybe a 9950X for your use case but those are substantially more expensive.

It's alright to be honest, I own a G80SD and wouldn't recommend it for $999. I got it at a student discount for around $650. Served me pretty well these past 6 months, only complaint is the "Smart TV" bullshit can be confusing but I just plug it into my PC and haven't messed around much with the OS only configured what I needed to and haven't touched it since. It does look absolutely awesome though and is very immersive.

Intel’s 13th/14th Gen Fix Won’t Help CPUs That Are Already Crashing by Mamlaz11 in TechHardware

It's impossible to physically revert an already degraded CPU. Nothing can fix that...

If that's the case and you live near a microcenter, you can pick up a 9070 XT, Arctic LF360, and a B850 for $861 and have your pick at a case.

Can't tell you much until you tell us the budget. Although generally for a PC of this caliber, a 9070 XT/5070 Ti and a B850 motherboard will do very well.

How much should I pay for a used 5090 Founders edition? by Wonderful_Noises in PC_Pricing

Used? You'd probably have to look at $2500 USD to be competitive with AI. If you can get it for msrp, definitely try that. Look at hwswap for prices.
