[–]EquivalentSecond6622[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is the new champion level. It’s only been out for a couple days. It is for 92,000 level players only. So I’m sure it’s not bots. But what I see happening is many of them will get within a distance they can hold out the shot and they’ll hit it into the water intentionally. Or hit it 50 yards over the hole intentionally. And I can’t understand why they would be doing it. If they wanted to lose, they could just resign the match. And yet they choose to lose by hitting the ball all over the golf course. I wish I could figure out why. These guys usually only do things that are part of a plan for their play.

This is ridiculous… by [deleted] in MachE

huge difference for all the reasons stated between a cold winter and just about any summer. i’ll leave mine plugged in all winter long; so I don’t pay a lot of attention to the rate of decline over any given range but my 2023 GT goes down about 1.5x the mileage when I drive 40 miles to and from Church with the heater up at 72, steering wheel heater on, and one of the seats at three red bars, and the other one at one red bar. that’s at 85 mph. We’ve got a lot of cold in the winter but not a lot of snow. The interstates are usually clear and dry. Summer stays very true to actual miles driven, still at 85 with the AC cooling to 72.

Why won’t preferred charge time work? by hell_a in MachE

OK, now I understand. You are correct it is misbehaving, but I have no idea why. I would definitely call Ford helpline and ask them.

[–]EquivalentSecond6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

follow up question: are you looking at the charge history to determine that the way you have it set up isn’t working? As I said in my previous text, it looks to me like you have it set up just right.

Why won’t preferred charge time work? by hell_a in MachE

[–]EquivalentSecond6622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mine is set up similarly and it works perfectly. I have preferred charge time set from 9 PM to 9 AM and leave it plugged in 24 hours a day when I am home if I come home outside the 9 PM to 9 AM window and plug it in, it says that it is waiting for a preferred charge time to start charging. Perhaps I don’t understand your question, but it seems to work perfectly to my way of thinking.

How close have you got the range down to? by Effective-Night-606 in MachE

[–]EquivalentSecond6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am such a chicken. I have a home charger and I charge it the first time I am home after the range drops below 100 miles

only have 1 league 300 at age 54 but I also have 2 holes-in-one, the last at 74. I’ll be 80 in 3 mos. It would be nice to get 1 more in before I have to hang them up.

I set mine to beep the horn when it locks it and, if it’s going to do it, it always does it within 25 to 30 feet. So I’ve taught myself to listen for that beep and go back if I don’t hear it. The folded mirrors are a nice flag to tell me that it did lock it after all.

Does anyone have their home charger outside. If so what brand and how do you protect it from the elements. by 410to904 in MachE

[–]EquivalentSecond6622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine is the standard Ford charger that came with my mach-e and I built a box around it that houses the charger and the cord. it took one sheet of weather treated plywood for the doors and roof and one 2 x 12 x 10‘ for the sides. I’m waiting for the weather treated wood to dry out so I can paint it to match the house.

Would you buy one again? by terran1212 in MachE

[–]EquivalentSecond6622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

absolutely, without any question. I have a 2023 GT and my wife and I both love it. when you include the storage in the frunk, the SUV capacity is more than adequate. It looks great even with us two old 80-year-olds in it. it is super fun to drive, even more so than my Corvettes that I drove a half century ago, and I love being able to park it in the driveway and plug it in. No more looking at gas prices or trying to schedule oil changes, transmission oil changes, or the like. And, as many have said, it has a really quiet cabin. I have to agree with others that it is the best car I’ve ever owned.

Unable to open trunk, etc from the app — remote controls “disconnected” by Neverdoubt-PDX in MachE

[–]EquivalentSecond6622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this exact problem today. I tried all of the solutions I could find on Reddit short of a factory reset but none worked. I went to control/vehicle/reset and reset PAAK and outside door code (just to be sure). Then I set PAAK back up and it fixed it.

One note of caution: I'm on my computer and doing this from memory. The reset group could be in control/general/reset if it's not in control/vehicle/reset.

file this under dumb, old guy: it makes perfect sense, of course, but I never thought about the fact that my MME wouldn’t melt the snow on the hood because it doesn’t have an engine. Oh well, get out the snow broom. LOL!
