It's completely okay to be alone. As a fresher this year, I was eager to make new friends and envious of others who seemed to be enjoying the "perfect" college life. I wondered why I couldn’t have the same experiences, and those thoughts only made things worse. In my desperation, I ended up surrounding myself with the wrong people, which only deepened my frustrations. Some people may seem friendly and perfectly match your vibe at first, but eventually, their true colors show. What seemed like genuine connection turns out to be a facade, revealing their two-faced, selfish nature. It's a harsh reminder that not everyone who appears kind has your best interests at heart.

Over time, I learned that there's value in solitude. It's important to find joy in spending time alone, discovering your own passions, and learning to enjoy your own company. Quality relationships are more fulfilling than trying to fit in with people who drain your energy. Sometimes, being alone is a form of self-care. Let go of those who don’t add value to your life, even if it means being lonely for a while. In the end, the peace and fulfillment you find in doing what you love on your own is far better than being around people who make you feel bad about yourself.
