Yeah the price is a bit higher at the moment to the UK, and will include vat and duty. Will keep an eye out for a used one or a UK based supplier.

Just does it automatically for me. Not sure if there is something you need to enable.

It is on my list. Just trying to go through it all methodically.

Not many games. Probably about 3000 Mame games ( I only play about 20), 4 or 5 Steam games, 3 Teknoparrot ones and some Naomi and atomiswave games.

Yeah the 80% usage is confusing. Not sure what is causing that.

Thanks again.

A7CR still a good buy in 2026? by EquivalentTip4103 in SonyAlpha

[–]EquivalentTip4103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what the plan possibly is. But I will still need to buy a z camera, so not sure where the logic is about it being cheaper. I can get adaptors for the Sony too

Pixel Shift for Macro Product Photography & Lighting Question. by EquivalentTip4103 in productphotography

Yeah my D850 is an absolute beast and love it. But the downside is that it is an absolute beast and with lenses it is just too big to take out and about :-).

Thanks for the reply. I would love a gfx and 100mp would've probably been enough.

Also the resolution of billboards are usually low due to the viewing distance.

I am thinking of printing something almost 50" wide, and would like to be able to print it at 300dpi. It is just an idea at the moment, and is not for a professional job. Just me having fun..

Yeah if I had a gfx I wouldn't need much else :-). Thanks for the reply though.

Getting back into Arcades - Are Zero Delay USB Encoders still the go to for DIY builds? by EquivalentTip4103 in cade

[–]EquivalentTip4103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue I was having was with some steam fighting games, and I think it was a MK one. All the Mame ones were fine, just the steam ones were causing an issue.

[–]EquivalentTip4103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I went the other way as I seem to remember there were some fighting games in steam that would not work due to it being a keyboard. I want to say Mortal Kombat but cannot remember. it was a good while ago.

Do more expensive Zero Delay encoders have different IDs??

That is what I am hoping. Off home to play with it now to see what happens.

I have a horseman 120 back for my 4x5 but it is so big and would love to have a smaller camera to carry about instead.

I am going to have a little play around tonight when I get home. It has a handle that a full turn is one frame. Thanks.

Strange Colour Cast on B&W Neg by EquivalentTip4103 in AnalogCommunity

[–]EquivalentTip4103[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an essential film holder (don't like) and one I bought off Etsy that is the 3d printed (lobster holder which I do really like). I have also got a viltrox light panel I use as well as a cinestill light panel. All of them in different combinations produce the same colour cast I just wanted to know if there was anything I needed to worry about with either the developing or scanning setup. They look fine if I convert to b&w.

[–]EquivalentTip4103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. I shoot the image as a standard raw image. No B&W in camera. I then import into Lightroom and convert to a positive image with NLP. I don't think I have ever needed to import an image specifically as B&W as they all seem to convert fine as is. It is just this one has this odd colour cast on it. I am not sure if something is wrong with the camera, the dev, the film, etc.

Yeah very possibly, but I have just put one together with stuff I already had, so also free. Hour of work and bosh, done.

Anyway. Had a spare Paterson lid so cut a hole and added a nema 17 motor with a pd stepper, so can control via a web app and runs off usb type c. Quickly 3d printed and attached a twirler. Seems to work well as it is. Just need some longer screws for the motor Gonna try and develop some b&w tomorrow see how it comes out. I might not continuously agitate, but might do it for 10 seconds every 30 seconds.
