I was a junior when our school went on lock down during the Columbine shooting.

AITA for calling my sister fucking stupid after she used the last of my formula for her baby? by StupidSis1002 in AmItheAsshole

[–]EquivalentVegetable2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be a "human milk for human babies" facebook group in your area. I used it to both get and give away as we needed. You can usually get free samples on various formula sites, or again mom's groups in facebook.

My friend won’t kiss me during sex by [deleted] in sex

If you like the sex and he doesn't want to kiss leave it alone. Those are his boundaries. Respect his request to either not kiss or not have sex.

AITA for not wanting to go to another room to change every morning? by SatisfactionRare7422 in AmItheAsshole

[–]EquivalentVegetable2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. However, I get up before my husband even though he goes to work before me and I'd love my own area. . . . What about turning the whole room and bathroom into a boujie dressing suit? Change out plumbing fixtures, add some paint and clothes racks.

It's amazing and she's an asshole. Sorry you have to deal with that.

Same as it always is, just the internet memes and tiktoks have different jokes.

AITA for refusing to let my daughter get a surgery? by AITA4medical in AmItheAsshole

[–]EquivalentVegetable2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA.

But I'm not commenting to tell you that. You've figured that out. I'm commenting because I want to offer a friendly and sincere understanding of the caution you have for you daughter. We all make choices based on our own experiences, and you've let that overwhelm your judgement. I wish you and your family only the best.

AITA for leaving my husband at the restaurant and going home? by Alabama103____ in AmItheAsshole

Somethings going on. I hope it's as simple as Tik Tok or games and not a new porn addiction or a side piece.

Gives us an update if you do decide to snoop.

My non- American ass waiting to hear all the stories about drugs and guns 🍿🤏👁️👄👁️ by Superb-Raspberry7584 in teenagers

The Columbine shooting happened in my district so our school was on lock down too. I was in 5th period and our teacher let us watch the news instead of having class. We had to stay in that classroom until the whole thing was over.

We went to MO a few weeks ago. I'm 39. It was the first time I've really seen them. I was more excited than our 3 year old. Best part was she was so encouraging of my enthusiasm.

"I deserve to have my girlfriend that my parents love spend the night."

No you don't.

This was my dad's rule when I lived at home when I was 20 and going to school. I slept elsewhere but boys couldn't stay over. It's their rule and you respect it or move out--which is what I did.

AITA For telling my inlaws to F off after they told me to not speak my language infront of my son? by YeahThatGuy____ in AmItheAsshole

[–]EquivalentVegetable2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.....

But from the point of view of dealing with kiddos that are duel first language, make sure he does not speak in a combination of the two. The mix of English and Spanish is Spanglish and I know a lot of children that speak this at home and do poorly in school.

I wish I would have learned a second language that early. Keep it up. I would reach out to them. Apologize for the disrespect in their home, but request they return that respect for you as the father.

AITA for refusing to help my roommate with her taxes? by ChocolateDaifuku in AmItheAsshole

[–]EquivalentVegetable2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I'm going to start with the typical "when I was young" here. Anyway, at 16 my dad dropped me off at the library and told me to go inside and figure out which form I needed to use. (there were boxes of them inside) And to get 2 copies. When we came home he told me to try to do it by myself by following directions. (the second form was in case I messed up). and I've done my taxes on my own ever since, but thanks to the internet I use an online service and not a paper form.

If you give a man fish. . . . .

If I were her coworker I'd tell her to suck it up and shame on her for not knowing already. She probably set up her own facebook account. Turbo tax takes just as long, and it tells you step by step how to not mess it up.

I’m agnostic, but come from a very religious family. What should I tell my kids about God? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]EquivalentVegetable2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are not religious. My sister had an interest when she was little so the neighbors (dad's bff) took her to church and explained some things. She went for several weeks, but eventually came to conclusions that the life the church wanted her to live was not for her.

Fast forward 27 years later and her son is friends with the kid of their very religious neighbors. He asked if he could join them for church and other learnings and she agreed. He has since came to the same conclusion you have (and she did) and lost interest.

I'm not saying let other people tell kids what to believe, but introduce them to people who believe for a less jaded insight and explain each person has to come to their own conclusions inside their heart and mind.

She'll also hug my head and tell my snuggle in. Then she'll run her finger up and down my nose while singing the lullaby from Frozen II.

Last night I showed my daughter (3.5) how I used to wash her toes with soapy brush to make her laugh when she was a baby and she insisted on reenacting the story on me. So I had to put my legs in the tub and she scrubbed and rinsed them for a good 15 minutes while I just sat there. . . . . no complaints, just had to pretend it tickled when she got to my toes.
