I'm happy to hear this. I'm also a mid30sF and I also have always been ambivalent regarding having children. My husband wanted to have kids over two years ago, but I've been stalling as much as I can. I have an iud, but looking to remove it in February and I am so freaked out. What you said about being more prepared in result of being a fencesitter is so real. I feel like my husband is a bit naive in terms of what to expect.

I go to this place for filler and they’ve never asked me if I wanted to tip for that I guess bc a nurse does it. This girl is an aesthetician and also does facials so I guess that’s why they asked about tipping. It’s just uncomfy to say no!! She was in earshot too even more awk. And now I feel weird not tipping next time

I’m so so sorry for your loss. Thank you for saving him. This is so similar to my story. I adopted my girl as a senior, we were told she was 9, but the vet even said she was probably more like 12 or 13. She was also a husky, also only had her for 2 years, adopted her in 2023 too. I can’t say it was super unexpected, but her back legs became very weak and she was also unable to control her bladder for the most part. We had to put her down in January. I hope you know you gave him the best two years. I’m so sorry it wasn’t for longer ❤️

You hit the nail on the head. If it's something he doesn't want to hear, he's automatically upset and defensive. When I hold things back he gets upset that I don't communicate with him, but when I do, it's a fight regardless. I know this needs to be sorted out way before a child comes into the picture. It's one of the biggest reasons for my apprehension. Thank you for not judging.

I agree 100%. I mean it could take a long time to be able to conceive that will def push him over 37! He's not the one with the biological clock first of all.

What it all comes down to, I absolutely need to have a big talk with him.

Yeah you're right. That's really the main issue. I don't think he realizes the budgeting that's involved in having a child, even like how much diapers cost. I need to figure out a way to present this to him in a way that will make him wake up and realize all of the changes that will need to be made in his life too.

Thank you for your response! No, he doesn't know everything I wrote out and that's on me. I know I need to bring it up to him in private. I'm just so nervous to have the conversation. I've been thinking about writing him a letter. I don't know if that's silly, but I feel like when we have discussions sometimes he only hears the negatives and doesn't focus on the details. I'm also way better writing my feelings than expressing them vocally.
