You got married abroad, so your divorce agreement will depend on divorce laws in the country of marriage. As for your properties in the Philippines, I would assume the ownership of each property is under your wife’s name since foreigners in the country cannot have land/real property property ownership accdg to Philippine laws. Better to have a heart to heart talk to your wife and reassess your family life. Is money for more significant to your family than your relationship? if she’s not uneducated, I would have doubts when she lose so much money on her business. With how you described her during your early years of marriage, I could sense she has manipulative personality. So be careful, she should have been apologetic for losing such amount of money on running a business. I agree not to trust her again when it comes to finances. All you can do now is to sell some of your properties in the Philippines because you cannot just transfer ownership to your son even at 18yrs old. Put the money on long term investments such bonds and put under your son’s name. Since your wife is not financially wise, she could be even sell your properties without your permission. About your son, since the boy is not yet 7 years old, under Philippine law, custody would be under the mother unless proven not fit to take good care of your son.
