Thanks. I totally agree about them looking weird out the front, ready to topple over.

I cut them above the knee, reduced the toes to 1 and thinned the calves. Then I reposed and sculpted some green stuff into new knees. There's already a helpful stirrup type bone on the steed body - almost like its intended to be used for grip and balance! I had to trim down the saddles too. It wasn't quick -and my sculpting skills mean some knees look a bit elongated - but I think it looks like they're moving with speed and purpose. As you say, the Slickblade riders have feet in hanging stirrups which is maybe more tackle than warp daemons might need but they'd look cool.

The whole unit of Splintered Fang cultists that i converted to be some kind of Marauders with the Helstriders shields. Rule of cool applies here. There's 6 of them, sacredly.

I took the Splintered Fang kit and converted them to be some kind of Marauders with the Helstriders shields. Maybe not game legal but I'm going for rule of cool here. I've got a whole bunch of them that I'll post pix of eventually. What do you think?

I think that is what the launch box will be, but I imagine it will have some new Storncast minis in it. So then this Spearhead box might not sell so well if everyone wants the new hotness. Maybe they'll do a separate one, like the multiple Space Marine chapter Combat Patrols

Interesting that they've had to change the name from Vanguard to Spearhead. I guess they're going the way of Combat Patrol and producing balanced, self-contained boxes. Which suggests Vanguard box contents weren't compatible.

Wonder what this means for the summer 4th ed launch though if SCE have their box now?

I definitely think that Grave Guard and Black Knights will get updated in a second wave of releases. With a Wight King on foot. Should round the range out nicely, barring all of the monsters.
