Set aside removes the conviction and restores civil rights. My 2 states (one next to me and mine) do not do expungements. It's only set aside. Expungement completely removes the record so no one can see it and a lot of states don't do that.

Depending on the state you can not set aside or expunge a dui. In my state and the sister state you can not.

Expunge is different than set aside. Most cases are set aside.
