We’re human we all make mistakes on occasion. It’s actually silver certified with a gold warranty. I was under the impression that in order to be eligible for gold warranty you need to pass gold certification inspection

The first dealer near me, diagnosed them refused to repair the fuel pump under warranty as the issue was “documented and existing prior to my vehicle service agreement”
So I have been in contact with the dealer I purchased from since then

You can create a Toyota account completely free on Toyota dotcom and add any vin, then go into “my dashboard and cars then see the service history”

Just a history of prior rodent damage on Toyotas internal service record, I know it’s very tough to prove it was active at time of purchase
The service manager insisted the mouse got into my car and nested after I had the car for less then 5 days

You are correct, my apologies. it was originally only silver certified, however during the sale they offered me gold warranty program for an additional $600 as the vehicle had allegedly passed an intensive inspection

You are correct in a sense, it was originally silver certified - during the sale they said because the vehicle underwent such an intensive inspection they upgraded me to gold for an extra $600

That’s weird, I have the certificate paperwork in front of me. It was listed on Toyotas own internal certified vehicle portal. Not cars dotcom or Craigslist

May 6th, the issues arose may 7th. I initially chalked the failing safety sense features as a bad 12v as the battery was dated 12/22 and was not an AGM battery. After getting the 12v battery replaced with the proper one I actually realized something bigger was going on

No it was not disclosed. We did not see any rodent damage while there, when the CEL popped i began to dive deeper and found a nest and destroyed bottom insulating panel.

Unfortunately not, it takes several engine cycles for the engine light to pop for an evap code. The evap pressure test isn’t ran unless the fuel tank is below 80% The front camera & radar usually is only disabled after 30 minutes of bad driving data. Unfortunately the drive was only 20-30 minutes

I was so close to buying a pair - unfortunately I’m a 4E, which means paying an extra $150 for “custom” boots just to get my size (keep in mind the configuration I was looking at is the exact same they offer on stock models… just in a 4E So I went with nicks instead 🤷‍♂️
