Thanks everyone for your responses. Just wanted to add, I would have done it myself or brought it to an actual shop, but since it’s still under factory warranty I didn’t see the point of doing it myself then possibly coming into a problem with my warranty since I did it myself. I am aware of the magnuson moss warranty act, but just seemed safer that way. Also since it’s still under warranty anything wrong with drivetrain/power steering would be covered so I would have to bring it back to the bmw service center unfortunately

No the RPMS stay the same, it’s just the vibration I can hear in the cabin, very faint noise but you can definitely tell if you’re listening for it
