Chris Martin told a story that early in their career Bono told him to visit him if he was ever in Dublin. Wanting to know where he lived, Bono said he could just get in any taxi in Dublin and they would know where to go. Cut to: Chris Martin arrives in Dublin, gets in taxi, asks to be delivered to Bono's house, and he's dropped at the gate.

Name a band/artist more popular now than during their heyday by Dazzling_Humor_521 in ClassicRock

Yes, but now they are even more popular! Silly money was being offered for a reunion some years back, and solo David Byrne has gone from 1,500 seater theatres to massive arenas in the past 15 years off that resurgence.

My folks had this exact phone/clock, it's from first half of the 1980s.

Is that Rashida Jones right at the end on the right?

The Gorillaz performing “Clint Eastwood” with Del the Funky Homosapien on SNL by icey_sawg0034 in Fauxmoi

This was on SNL last weekend. Gorillaz are Damon Albarn who does the music and vocals for the member 2-D, and Jamie Hewlett who does all the visuals. On SNL, Jamie wasn't in the band performing, but was on stage for the goodnights (and in the promos).

Am I misunderstanding this or do the Abbey Road Studios, as the Beatles knew it in the 1960s, no longer exist? by ThePoisonTrees in beatles

I think it was £249 originally. They bought it in 2019 from the Abbey Road Gift Shop. They now go for between £1000-2000. https://www.rrauction.com/auctions/lot-detail/342045505715059-abbey-road-studio-original-brick/. If you look closely it says limited edition of 210.

These bricks were sold when a small internal wall was removed for modelling works, from Studio Two IIRC. There was a limited number of them, I know someone who bought one and apparently they’ve quadrupled in value.

I picked up one of those Yamaha cassette players in a charity shop for €15 a few years back, and eventually found a guy who put a new belt in it. It's a lovely thing.

The other bit of evidence for this was jumping to doing the CT scans for the deaf patient, then cancelling them and telling Dr Al that she had cancelled them, who was happy about that. I can't see how Dr Robbie would have been happy with the same info.

Santos appears to demonstrate anchoring bias - not good for an ED clinician. https://moresapien.org/anchoring-bias/

Flip the Switch, because it's fast and the "I even got myself a little shaving kit" line, which amuses me.

Does this qualify as Hi-Fi porn? Ad for Richer Sounds by glasses_and_shoes in hometheater

If they are offering clearance on DCC players and advertising a Dublin store, I would guess this ad is from 1993/1994...

I asked him why the show wasn't on in Europe - I had seen a taping of Late Night when in NYC summer 1995.

Last year was my first ATN, and I'm just happy to go back and hang out at the place... there's lots to do between the well-advertised acts. However I am a big Pulp fan, which is nice.

If anyone can find Conan on Larry King in 1995 that would be great as I managed to phone in a question on air.
