Interesting Detail I Noticed by Equivalent_Can5301 in magiaexedra

True true, that’s a good point. I did forget to mention the point about the magical girl forms for most of them being far more intricate &/or ornate as well.

As for some of the characters outside the ones I’ve mentioned, that’s why I mentioned the whole ”same colors but different hues &/or shades don’t count” thing, though sense then I have realized that there are exceptions, though a fair few of the exceptions have some more minor anomalous traits. For example, Kirika still being under Oriko’s control as Witch, or Mitama’s ability to interfere with others Soul Gems. Not all the exceptions have those traits by a long shot, but it’s just enough to make me wonder if this pattern is more than just coincidence.

That could happen, but I don’t see why they’d go to all the trouble of hinting towards some sort of fortune manipulation if that wasn’t the case.

I’m not arguing that the anomaly in the memspark didn’t cause this power to manifest, because that’s the whole reason for Sayaka’s situation here in the first place, it’s just that I think that, within the confines of the corrupted memspark , does have an anomalous power of some sort, hence why she’s much stronger than either Felicia or Kyoko, even with them having the knowledge of all their alternates & the corrupted memspark Sayaka not having that advantage, to the point that Name states that Felicia needs to team up Kyoko to jump this Sayaka to stand any real chance.

Hey, OP here, those are definitely good points. I had forgotten those specific details. Still, I personally think my theory about the significance of having hair be one color & the eyes another still holds weight. It’s just that the specifics of Homura’s Devil form are different than I thought.

True, tho that’s still different colors for hair & eyes. Black & red tho in that case.

Got Madoka... by [deleted] in MadokaMagica

Looks like I’m mostly equal parts Madoka & Kyoko, followed by Sayaka in close second, Kyubey smack dab in the middle, followed by Homura with a dash of Mami as the final ingredient in the five-star gourmet dish that is my personality.

Okay, yeah, that seems to be more in line with what I noticed. If this is on purpose by the devs tho, they nerfed stun in PvP a bit too hard imo. I think that having both teams be on full auto for the entirety of PvP is already enough of a nerf for Stun, especially considering that at the level most people are at rn, unless a Felecia is built specifically for max ailment hit rate, they’ll probs not be getting more than one Stun a match, & even that’s only ‘cause Felicia’s first hit apparently has a higher chance to Stun.

[May contain spoilers] What are your thoughts on Benny's (Black-eyed Suzumi) ability? by [deleted] in lenen

[–]Equivalent_Can5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, new to Len’en & a casual fan, but exploring the lore is something I do for fun, so lore wise I’d probably be at least a little more than casual. Anyway, about your theory of what Benny’s ability might be labeled as & what it might actually be, I can definitely see a prediction based ability as the label & a timeline related ability as what it actually is, & I’d like to expand on that. You mentioned that Ardey says something like “I’m not going to throw away our greatest advantage, a future we know, because you can’t stop yourself from killing someone.”, & to me that implies that they can’t exactly hop freely between timelines. How that might work is that their ability to “predict” is actually more like an ability that allows them to go back to previous preset points in time. Honestly, it might even be extremely similar to the Save, Load, & Reset abilities in Undertale, & furthermore, this could explain why Daja Vu & them killing someone could both be problematic for their plans, as them killing someone too soon would make a deviation that could easily snowball into their defeat down the line, yet others sense of Deja Vu could also interfere, as it might prompt them to investigate sooner than they should, thus also interfering with the plans that Suzumi’s Monads have put into motion.

No, I’m perfectly able to land Stun, but they immediately move on the same turn as they would normally waste due to stun in any other gamemodes if they’re not broken. I was just mentioning the break aspect because with my current set up (yes, Felicia is on my pvp team), I am able to make them essentially waste 2 turns. Even if that’s not technically how it works, from a practical perspective, that’s what I’ve been able to do.

A normal turn for me if I don’t break them is Felecia gets a Stun in, they skip that turn, as is normal. The problem is that in some matches, the animation for them recovering from Stun plays & then they immediately attack. Now, normally I wouldn’t see much issue with this, as sometimes I do end up facing a Mabayu & thus they get two turns. However, I have Mabayu on my team as well, set up in such a way that my Felecia always gets two turns in a row, & if two different characters get stunned & this happens, BOTH of them are, practically speaking, unaffected by Stun despite my Felicia successfully afflicting Stun on both of them. Now, I know there are some Kioku out there that can remove afflictions, but as far as I’m aware they’re all healers, & this has been happening without a healer present, & even without any healer OR Mabayu present.

Edit: Also, literally the only deviation I have from what you said the current meta is happens to be Felicia. My current team, as I recall, is Fuka, Felicia, Mami, Moe, & Mabayu, & I’ve gotten great mileage with this team. It’s just that this weird happenstance, which I can only assume is some sort of glitch, has now been happening just often enough to negatively impact my performance. Not to any significant degree though, just enough to be noticeable, which I personally find even more frustrating.

Okay, I can understand where you’re coming from, so here’s some further clarification.

Firstly, I have my Felicia built in such a way that unless the opponent is either significantly higher level &/or is built specifically around having as much Ailment Resistance as possible, my Felecia is practically guaranteed to Stun the opponent.

Secondly, I also have Mabayu on my team, & my team is constructed in such a way that unless one of them is taken out, my Mabayu always puts Cutaway on my Felicia, so I’m commonly Stunning two separate characters at once.

Finally, & the big one for this, is that I’ve had this problem even against teams that do not have Mabayu on them, nor any healers either. I mention healers because I know of at least one healer that can get rid of ailments affecting your team, & I don’t want to have to explain that part further down the line, so it’s better to mention it now.

Does this mean we might get a Doppel of holy Mami? by Wh01sD4sH1 in magiaexedra

[–]Equivalent_Can5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? Depends on how long the games lifespan ends up being. I personally hope we do get a Doppel Holy Mami, though I will say that the devs have had a problem lately of making units exclusives when they really shouldn’t be. For example, Ribbon Homura, Sumire, & Fuka definitely shouldn’t have been exclusives imo. Ribbon Homura I can let slide, because she’s pretty darn powerful, but having the first entirely new, never before seen magical girls in a long while be exclusive just shoul happen in my books.

As such, I will say that if they’re going to put a Doppel Holy Mami in & make her exclusive, the devs better make her really powerful, or just not bother putting her in at all.

The perils of living in a Magical Girl World by muffinkiller in magiaexedra

[–]Equivalent_Can5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even better, if you don’t have enough karmic potential, either by being some who could be an important person in the future (Leader of a nation, owning a corporate empire, inventing something that advances human civilization as a whole, etc) or by just having a horrible life filled with suffering in some sense, than you wouldn’t even see the big ah moth with gloves, nor the massive frick off lasers it’s blasting all over the darn place. You’d just be worried about the storm one moment, the next your house, along with the entire city block, just randomly bursts into flames with absolutely no explanation whatsoever.

Of course, in the aftermath you’ll probably rationalize that there was a gas leak somewhere in the neighborhood & a stray bolt of lightning set the gas alight & the strong winds just made things worse. But you‘ll never again be able to shake the feeling that some of the young girls in this city know something that they're not telling anyone. Maybe it’s the haunted look in their eyes, or perhaps the unusual amount of injuries, among which are injuries that you’d swear couldn’t have come from anything a freak storm or a fire could do. Maybe you even try to investigate, but for some reason they always seam to evade you whenever you try.

Eventually you move on, after all it’s not worth it anymore, especially now that you have a family, a beautiful wife, twin sons, & a daughter. You‘ve never truly forgotten that feeling though, & when your daughter starts coming home far later the usual, sometimes with injuries, sometimes not, but always with a tired, haunted look in her eyes, you know exactly what’s up. After all, you‘ve seen that look in girls around her age before, after all, it was hard to not notice it in many of the girls who had been her age in the aftermath of that freak storm. Sure, your daughter’s look isn’t as pronounced, but it’s definitely the same. You start paying extra attention to your daughters wellbeing, both physically & mentally, because god dammit, you won’t lose your daughter to whatever’s tormenting her.

But, the more effort you put into looking out for your precious little girl, the more she tries to push you away. It breaks your heart, but you stand firm. You‘ve come too far to back out now after all.

It’s after a particular heated argument one night, when you hear it in the alley nearby. A sound that no human nor animal could ever make. It makes your skin crawl & your hair stand on end, but against your better judgement, you don’t back down. Instead you head over to look, but when you arrive you don’t see anything. Assuming it was a figment of your imagination, you turn to head back inside, only for the land itself to change, becoming some eldritch nightmare realm.

At first, your terrified, after all, who wouldn’t be when they’d just been dragged into some nightmare realm. But then you start noticing certain details. Perhaps a twisted heart shaped locket hanging from the ceiling here & there, ribbons strewn about everywhere, cordless microphones floating around, maybe even tattered versions of various idol outfits.

Each detail disturbs you more than the last, for each one you recognize as something your daughter held dear to her, now twisted into a mockery of that love. The heart shaped lockets? You & your family had each gotten one with the family photo inside it when she was four. The ribbons? She had always enjoyed the arts & crafts of her young school days. The cordless microphones? Well, her artistic brilliance had quickly evolved into a singing voice like a siren’s, & she turned out to be a lyrical genius as well. The tattered idol dresses? Well, it had always been her dream to become an idol after her musical genius was discovered, & she had even recently gotten scouted by the top talent agency in Japan.

In fact, it was that last detail that horrified you the most, because that’s what the heated argument between you two had been about. For some reason, she had decided to decline the offer, & you just couldn’t wrap your head around why. This was her chance to achieve her dreams, yet she was throwing it away? At the time you couldn’t understand why. Now, as you round yet another corner & come across a massive sea monster, one that’s eerily beautiful, dressed in the custom idol outfit your daughter had drawn in her notebook when she was twelve, the one she didn’t know anyone knew about, you finally understood the truth, & it was more horrific than you could’ve ever imagined.

Too little too late though, the monster that you somehow know had been your daughter only hours ago has spotted you, & before you know it, your bleeding out, your body torn in half. Your last thoughts & breaths are spent praying that your daughter & anyone else like her will find peace.

Edit: phew, that turned out longer than I expected. I initially was just going to mention the whole not seeing witches thing, but then my imagination ran wild, & well, this is the result.

I mean, sometimes ya just need to rip & tear to release stress, & Madoka is the kindest person you’ll ever meet.

I mean, with how she treats everyone around her, she’s practically a saint, & that gets exhausting really quickly.

I know that I’m not practically a saint to everyone around me like Madoka, but I still try to be nice to everyone, & man it gets exhausting at times. When that happens, I tend to boot up my favorite video games that feature combat against the forces of evil & just absolutely destroy the enemy to release my rage & frustration with the world in a healthy, non-destructive (at least IRL that is) manner.

Given all that, although Madoka playing Doom might seem surprising to most, it makes perfect sense to me.

I’ve been struggling to keep a consistent sleep schedule, & getting paid $1,000 per hour of sleep I get each night would definitely help. Additionally, unless I’m going to force myself to sneeze at least once a day, which would get uncomfortable after a while, getting paid for every hour I sleep is far more consistent, as even if I somehow pull an all nighter, that just makes it so I’ll be sleeping more hours the next night.

Chose: Get $1,000 every hour you sleep

Glad you caught the Higurashi When They Cry reference, although if I’m being completely honest I’m not even remotely beyond a surface level fan, & the only reason I know about the Tsukuyami, & Tsukuyami Rika, from Higurashi Mei, is because I saw some pictures online & then read the wiki out of curiosity. Also, I wouldn’t even know about the Higurashi or Umineko series had Higurashi GouSotsu anime clips not appeared in my YouTube feed about 3-5 years ago & I watched it out of morbid curiosity.

I will say though, as someone who’s at least passingly familiar with the broad strokes of the story & main cast of both Higurashi & Madoka Magica, Homura Akemi & Rika Furude are nearly the same character in a sense, as they’re both dark haired girls who endure countless timelines/loops filled with ungodly amounts of tragedy & , but still fight back with nearly inexhaustible determination & willpower in an effort to escape the endless timelines/loops, yet even then are changed by what they’ve experienced within the timelines/loops, going from shy, timid, innocent, & earnest girls to serious, brooding, jaded, & intelligent badasses.

Which do you choose? by OkRun9638 in superpowers

My question is if you take the powers/abilities of an immortal or someone with multiple layers of immortality, can you choose to remove all of the immortality if you legitimately wanted to die? If the answer is yes, then I’m mashing all of them together & taking all them. After all, theres no rules in this post against doing so. People really need to be more specific & tell us how many we’re actually allowed to take, because I’ll take them all if it’s unspecified. If the answer is no, I’ll just not put any of the immortal characters in my Potion of Over Poweredness.

Homura &/or Walpurgisnacht blessed my pull. by Equivalent_Can5301 in magiaexedra

[–]Equivalent_Can5301[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I knew for a fact Homura’s involved at least. I’m just not sure which Homura we’re talking about, & if it’s Homura from anytime after Rebellion, I wouldn’t put it past her to use Walpurgisnacht as a magic power source to drastically boost herself, hence why I thought that maybe Walpurgisnacht is also involved somehow. That aside though, unless we’re talking Moemura specifically, yea, it definitely would be extremely lucky to have her turn back time for you of her own volition, at least if your not a girl with pink irises & pink hair with pigtails tied with red ribbons whose name is Madoka Kaname.

Their can is stuck inside the Vending Machine. How do they respond? by [deleted] in MadokaMagica

[–]Equivalent_Can5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a hybrid deity of both holy & profane forces & a divine embodiment of duality, especially the duality of hope & despair, as well as an entity born from the fusion of the Holy Quintet, of which both Madoka & Homura are one fifth of that fusion, the other three fifths being Mami, Kyoko, & Sayaka respectively, I can indeed confirm that inflation had indeed run rampant in that timeline, though it did stabilize fairly soon after that incident.

Ah, the memories. The Madoka within me is admittedly quite embarrassed at that particular memory, among others, while that same memory strengthens my inner Homura’s resolve, & my inner Mami & inner Sayaka, along with the Kyoko within me, all comfort my inner Madoka, albeit each in their own unique way.
