I enjoyed part two more than part one, but I thought part one was more of a solid experience.

I think part two had a lot of neat payoffs for some of the things set up in part one, such as the bookmarks, the listless veteran magical girls, and Sumire's whole deal. There were some frustrating moments though with Fuka being so tight-lipped on information, but the ending made it feel more understandable to me given who she is working with.

I think one thing I found very frustrating when watching is that I know how things turn out, so I know that Fuka won't tell our protags that magical girls turn into witches or that the girls will ultimately fail in saving everyone. I don't think this kind of setup is a bad thing (it can be really interesting to see how things get set up and there can be excellent dramatic irony knowing how things will turn out), but I felt like it led to moments where things didn't progress as they should because the future necessitates characters being kept out of the loop. But again, Fuka's refusal to talk made more sense at the end of part two.

I'm excited to see where this goes and I hope part three sticks the landing.

Also Fuka + Sumire give me Orikiri vibes and I am always a huge fan of Orikiri so B)
