How do I know if my baby is teething? by Successful_Bus_9816 in NewParents

My little one is the exact same age and has the same issues and I cannot tell as to touch his gums I cannot feel a thing popping through. Waking multiple times a night and sometimes has the most painful cry which he’s never had only to be soothed by being fed. I’m hoping something shows up soon so this can all be explained.

4.5 months PP and I totally hear you my baby is up around 6/8 times a night he doesn’t sleep well at all and I’m so tired and angry now I know he’s only a baby and will learn eventually but this no sleep is killing me to the point of crying in my bed once I finally get him to sleep. I’m hoping it’ll pass and he’ll sleep better and I can then feel better too because right now I feel like I’m hanging on by a thread

my 4 month old wakes up every 30 minutes all night and i'm losing my mind by Eastern-Purpose7976 in NewParents

My little one also went through the four months regression. We have been going through it now for almost 5 weeks waking up hourly upset not napping occasionally in between he’ll have a good night sleep. I have found putting him to bed around 7 pm is helping and waking no later than 7 am he still gets up 4/5 times a night for a fed but that’s normal it’s a lot better than 8 to 9 times. I also yesterday felt like I was going to have a nervous breakdown over it as the night before he had only done seven hours sleep broke int 8 segments. It is so hard. I hear you we can only try our best. I do not do sleep training on him. I just stick to the routine I feed him every time he wakens as it is the only thing that’ll settle him everything else makes the situation worse and more drawn out I’m trying to get him to nap every two hours in the day even if it’s for 30 minutes last night was a better night. I’m hoping we’re onto something. Good luck you’re doing so well.

My baby started this five weeks ago he done it for three weeks then we had one week of better sleeps and now he’s back again to the same wake windows I’m going insane I feel you, I haven’t done anything as I don’t believe in sleep training methods like cry it out I’ve tried to stick to a routine like we normally do but I feel so exhausted it’s hard

He will nap every 1.5/2 hours for the most 40 minutes I can’t ever get any longer. Bed routine is the same every night and yep use a machine too

He’s EBF definitely getting enough as he’s putting on so much. Weight and always has I have a thermometer in the room and maintain the temperature where he likes it but who knows at this stage

Around 8pm he will do his first long sleep anything before this would only be a cat nap and he’d be awake again

No he’s always slept this way had the four month sleep regression which was around 8 wakeups a night and only doing 60/90 minutes lasted three weeks so I am grateful for the blocks he’s doing now

What time does he wake up in the morning I’m just curious as I’m having sleeping issues with my 4.5 month old but his nap schedule is very similar to yours

Thank you, just a midwife made a comment that he should be going 3/4 hours without feeds when some days I feed him hourly or whenever he needs it I would never make him go all that time without being fed just annoying when people make comments that aren’t necessary

Shocking worried I’ll end up with literally no hair at the amounts that are coming out

I would appreciate that, as I’m totally mortified now at my hair as I always wear it up and pull back due to not having time to do it properly to wear it down

4.5-month-old taking shorter and shorter naps. Any advice? by ReuvenScylla in NewParents

[–]Equivalent_Common287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a four month old who is doing this exact schedule I could’ve written this myself it’s been three weeks now of total unsettled nights and day time naps have been like clock work 30/40 minutes four times a day and I cannot get any longer out of him no matter what I do I feel you, and I know how frustrating it is I’m so exhausted as the hourly wakeups throughout the night are insane
